Compressed/ 2026 This exhibition was a practice in vulnerability on many levels. Showing my personal data in the open was a message on how fragile data is in general. It’s here on earth, in nature and bound to erode with time. Who benefits from our vulnerability? Who benefits from our grief? I’m so glad I got to spend time doing extensive research through BAM on this topic of deathbots, consent and data. In a way it helped me zoom out because I saw a lot of parallels between deathbots, ouija boards and necromancy. Also in theory I wanted to make people uneasy and uncomfortable and sit with these ideas, but in practice when I observed them taking deep breaths or feel uncomfortable, it made me feel kind of bad too 🥲 I had quite a few conversations, thank you Dave and thank you to everyone who supported me w this ❤️

what if apps didn’t just get deleted and they died instead? We designed this little farewell screen for an app concept, because maybe even digital things deserve a proper goodbye. soft grief, glitchy decay, and design as ritual. from a bigger project we are working on about memory, endings, and the internet falling apart for the Future Archive. #uxdesign #interactiondesign #speculativedesign #digitalrituals #goodbyedesign #deathpositive #futurearchive #emotionalux #glitchaesthetic #softtechnology #designinspo #designpoetry #productdesign #etherealinterfaces #designasritual #artdirection #visualdesign #motiondesign #interfaceart #williamgibson

Thank you to everyone who made it to the feeling first design workshop last weekend @pavedarts 💙. We explored concepts like embodiment in research, multisensory design as well as build our own phones (not literally). And had some really interesting conversations about digital/ physical spaces 🌸 I hope you enjoyed this workshop and I’ll be looking forward to seeing you at my upcoming exhibition on deathbots and data @bamsaskatoon :) Details to be announced soon. 🍃☘️

Introducing BAM’s January/February artist in residence Akshara Dash @depth.place ‼️ Akshara Dash is a critical and speculative designer whose work examines the relationship between death and technology. She explores questions like what it means for software to die and how deathbots, AI tools that simulate deceased people, are shaping experiences of grief and loss. As a multidisciplinary creative, she works across mediums including digital interfaces, fragrance, and zines. Stay tuned to follow Akshara’s work!

The biggest inspiration behind our workshop tomorrow, are concepts like data humanism and small data. We came across these in a book written by @giorgialupi a few years ago. The practice of noticing the subtle, everyday things. What time do you brush your teeth every morning? How many strangers smiled at you this week? Unlike “big data,” small data is intimate, personal, and yours. By taking ownership of your own patterns, you turn them into currency for self-understanding rather than tools for surveillance. RSVP/ Link in bio. Limited spots.
