To my surprise Layla requested for additional lessons on the morning of our flight back. I was hesitant as it would mean rushing to pack just before our flight. It turned out to be the best decision ever! Something clicked and she got it!
I need to constantly remind myself to trust my kids, sometimes they know best!
Thank you @don_chengyt &@queenieelee for being such good host, @apex_kz for organising skiing and private coach! This will be a major part of Layla’s core memory! She is missing Kazakhstan and the family already!

Reflecting upon my pregnancy with Skyla! (I am not pregnant!)
Every pregnancy is truly different.
Being pregnant the second time felt like stepping into an entirely different journey.
With Layla, pregnancy came with lightness. I felt energetic for most of the 9 months. I was swimming, doing yoga every other day, and having generous pockets of time for meditation, journaling, and self-care.
The second pregnancy was different. Much of it was spent learning how to stay calm, trying not to slip into anger or anxiety, and searching for moments of rest wherever I could find them.
When our Panorama report came back, it brought with it a scare: a possible Mosaic Trisomy 18 genetic condition. We didn’t name her. We didn’t find out her gender. We didn’t even know if she would be healthy until the detailed 20-week scan. From week 12 until the day she was born, we lived with a quiet, constant fear.
Toward the end of the third trimester, I was also learning how to hold the emotions of welcoming a second child. I longed for Skyla's arrival, yet grieved quietly the idea that Layla would no longer have all of me.
Later did I learn,
"Love doesn't divide. It multiplies."
Nothing could be more true.

2025 stretched us in ways we didn’t expect. It was challenging, but as this year comes to a close, my heart feels full. We didn’t just make it through, you and I grew closer, stronger, and more united as a couple.

This year reminded us that growth in marriage often comes through hard seasons. Learning to support, listen with no judgement, extend grace, and choose each other even when it’s uncomfortable. Those moments weren’t always easy, but they shaped us in meaningful ways.
As we celebrate Christmas and step into a new year, I am grateful for the gift of growth, partnership, and walking this journey together as a family, hand in hand, with faith, love, and hope for what’s ahead. ❤️

Took my trusty M11 out for a spin after ages! Thanks to @sheila_sim for the encouragement.
Rediscovered joy in random shooting and tried journaling after a long time. Felt rusty with the camera, but the process was therapeutic.
Journaling was a unique experience - like talking to myself! 🤣 Wrote some random points, but it was nice. Might just make this a habit.
