Hola mi gente hermosa 🙋🏽‍♀️ More good news! We've been invited by @jackartsny to premiere a new piece entitled “You Will Be Played” on November 9th at 7:30PM for the Radical Acts performance festival. “You Will Be Played” centers wearable graphic music scores prepared for the audience. The scores, adorning the audience during the performance, explore various uses and politics of play -  playing music, child’s play (and the criminalization of play for racialized people), getting “played” by capitalist forces, and play as an important part of queer discovery. FAMILIA! We are SO excited to announce that we have been invited by @baadbronx to premiere a playful and provocative performance at BAAD entitled “¡Time Out!” on October 8th at 8pm as part of their BlakTinx Performance Festival. The piece examines how time has been weaponized, stolen, and colonized by oppressive forces throughout history, and invites notions of asymmetry and transience into a temporal discourse.
