Hallo folks, recordings of our long session are up on the radio's SoundCloud 🦻🏼 Acoustic and electronic instruments bleed into one another, and percussion remains the beating pulse across the wide-spectrum of dubwise and adjacent sounds and shapes it takes. Starting in organic deep space carved by rhythm itself, drifting through trippy vapor downtempo and amplified dark tribal dub layers, magnetic signature grooves oscillate between an upbeat carnal pull and dubbed-down bass sculpturalism. From there, bleeding into drunken retro-gritty weird-wave and the motorik stomp of a post-punk freakout, dislocated melodies and dub-drenched, distorted riddims fuse with industrial echo-voices into psychedelic abstract steppers, modulating into a slickly claustrophobic, erratic yet intuitive strain of tekno-primitivism. Thanks 🙏🏼 @afidissima for the sick flyer 🌓

Recordings of our last hangout of the year are out, you can listen via a link in bio. Five hours venturing through different timelines, spanning experimental textures with a regard for syncopated, outsider physicality. Warmth gives way to guided intoxication, weirdo fourth-dimension hypnotic loops and industrial-haze momentum, otherworldly yet familiar, moving without fixed structure. Layered percussion, wind and string figures, and synthetic/electronic textures fold into murky, bass-weighted drift and vapor-intoxicating playfulness, with dub-soaked low end and oozing delays pulling the listener forward, inward, and slightly off-axis. Thanks @louddi and @castockwell for a long awaited visit🫂 and the rest of the Hamburg folks for the beautiful moments before a little winter break from Germany 🌋

The second Sontrra installment brings together @broshudaofficial and @_leo.xyz at @pudel_com , two artists whose sound and practice stem from mind-blending, multifaceted sonic explorations, influenced by engagement with the latent potentials of collective and autonomous experiments. From these shared terrains, their approaches take shape as ongoing processes, tracing a continuum where tape-saturated, retro-acoustic experiments morph through fragmented sound design on lo-fi equipment into digital surreal terrains and paradoxical dreamlike scenarios. Here, timelines drift and shift like sleepwalkers in step, pulled by hidden currents, briefly aligned, then dissolving into unstable configurations of relation and resonance.  Broshuda is the main alias of Florian Koch, a multidisciplinary commercial artist and music producer based in Milan, Italy. Pursuing a strong Fluxus inspired interdisciplinary ethos in his output in the field of visual art, the same attitude is applied to his audio works, resulting in detailed sketches which at the same time show and disguise their inner logic while transporting a diverse range of carefully distilled feelings and emotions.A prolific figure in the global underground scene since the early 2010s, he has released a constant stream of Albums and EPs on various formats via revered imprints like @haunter.records , @psychicliberation , @nocornermusic , Soda Gong and more.  Bending reality's grid into previously unknown shapes, Leo experiments withsounds as well as with psyche's most hidden structures taking the absurdity of surreal digital landscapes and paradoxical oneiricscenarios to a whole new degree of abstraction and integration. Hyperfux and Defetro conjure sonic kinship from digital ruins.

Hi folks, Drifting Reverie is back on @hallo.radio , this time featuring @akiko.inwndrlnd , a collector, DJ, and producer from Venice, active in the fertile Italian scene. Her sonic practice not only complements but deeply intersects with the ongoing inquiry of Drifting Reverie, as she dives into dreamstates and drift-like listening, plunging into fevered investigations of genreless, timeless sonic territories that channel intimate and cathartic reveries. Akiko layers multi-ethnic sonorities with deep tribal basslines, tracing ancestral rhythms and earthy textures. Her anthropological approach to sound, rooted in the shifting echoes of folk traditions, emerges vividly in her selection, shaping a journey between outer landscapes and inner visions. Co-curator of the newborn @eabricoeaa project, Akiko invites us into a raw, spiritual soundscape where trance becomes method and memory. In the second hour, I explore a continuum between minimalist electronics, musique concrète, and dark experimental club sounds, linking timbre, texture, and rhythm with a focus on sound’s capacity to evoke introspection. Breathy spoken word unfolds over swirling drones, while subtle rhythms build into distorted, eccentric percussions, reimagining the alchemical textures of dub and post-punk. Dungeon synth drones echoing ancient mysticism fuse with dystopian dancehall industrialism, weaving Arabic and French poetry on resistance and liberation, resolving in ghostly daxophone wails, inebriated digital flutes, fractured electronics, and folktronic textures. Thanks to the incredible artists featured in these sets for their mesmerising sounds. Swipe right for the tracklist, some snippets of my set and some videos I did while listening to Akiko' s set. You can find the link to the archived show in the bio.

Sunday 13.04.25 21 h The first Sontrra installment invites eNμ (live) and Valeska, two artists whose practices resonate with our sonic commons, tracing dream fragments, fractured rhythms, glitch-laced textures and pulsating basses from elsewhere. Their sound speaks for sonic resistance and radical reimagination, colliding digital rupture with acoustic embodiment and suburban residues. Golden Pudel is modulated into a deconstructed club setting, recalibrated as a resonant space for dislocated rhythms and melodies. eNμ - part alchemist, part dreamer - drifts through the matter of sound, assembling invisible architectures from vibrating particles. Neither fixed nor fleeting, always somewhere between the frequencies, eNμ channels a quest through the worlds of tiny sounds, voices and noises found in dreams, memories, affinities, places, fantasies and imagination. eNμ’s releases on Pho Bho and Formforum draw on this multitude within the spirited outskirts of recent club oriented outlets. Valeska‘s sets are driven by an enthusiasm for ever-changing rhythmic structures, unheard sounds, vigorous stabs, and uneasy moods. On stage, Valeska seamlessly shifts from soft embraces to heavy hits. Her musical excursions have also been featured on cassettes for Leipzig’s Prepaid Records label and on radio programs for Retreat Radio, n10.as, Radio Alhara and Stegi Radio. Valeska is working as a curator within her event series swish which is taking place in various of-spaces in Leipzig. Also she is the co- founder of the series rewind and part of Shell Tapes. Hi folks, 'Drifting Reverie' is back with the mind of @brandonlivio .The show is now archived and available in bio. This time, we both explore different sonic arrangements to probe the suggestiveness of the framing of contemporary club culture as a present-day ritual. In the first hour, Brandon journeys through a historical sonic continuum that starts with ancient tribal sounds and ends with deep, hypnotic bass music. The evolution of ancient ritual-goer sounds, which transcend time and the individual, coupled with the incorporation of vocal and rhythmic techniques into synthetic, dancefloor-oriented sets, helps to contextualize the shift in emotional reactions to rituals throughout the centuries. Similarly, I draw on a sonic arch that seems to be evolving outside the usual boundaries of time and space, following a more liturgical repertoire through haunted ballads, ghostly synths, and misty voices. Slowly, sound morphs into doomed dancing with pitched strings, palpitating percussions, rotating tribal arrangements, and viscous post-D&B designed for cosmic day-break after-party moments. I close up the set with mournful melodies, smog-filled ambience, and sparkles of string echoes in the dark. Thanks to the incredible artists featured in these sets for their mesmerizing sounds. Swipe right for tracklists and snippets.
