FINND & Deep Web proudly present… 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞 @c0ll3 , the moniker of New York based musician 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐜𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐲, for an intimate evening at The Vanguard.
Colle’s music gracefully tiptoes through every kind of misty, hazy subgenre of contemporary pop music: trip, dream, ambient, hypnagogic, and even several types of -tronicas. Carried by her airy vocal delivery, delicate guitar work and ethereal production, Colle’s 2024 album ‘𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐨’, released on London imprint @urtruimage , delivers the sort of blissed out feelings we’ve only encountered on the edge of a beautiful slumber.
Coinciding with the debut Australian tour of Chanel Beads, Colle will be bringing her luminous solo work as well to Australian audiences for the very first time, joined by an exceptional local lineup of sonic daydreamers:

Introducing ~ ptwiggs & FEVER BREAK
Enter the brutal and ecstatic world of producer, engineer and label head ptwiggs this Friday, an artist whose music shaped the show in its early years, marking her long-awaited return to Sydney.
As a dancer and a DJ, FEVER BREAK slips into the folds and fractures of club music, bass-boosting the chaotic peaks and luxuriating in the gentle lulls. Her bold, statuesque presence behind the decks can shift to liquid grace in a moment, transforming the room along with it as she cuts and blends dark, heavy club with unpredictability.
Feb 6, Oxford Underground, from 9pm 🐦🔥

Introducing… Chonzu [LIVE] and Paperclip 💫
Chonzu’s music is glittery synth ambience and intricate rhythms held hand in hand; a saccharine explosion, followed by an introspective aftertaste and a mellow haze. Chonzu warps sonic worlds that invite you to get sucked in, and will be presenting a 30-minute live set of all new music.
Paperclip is emo at heart and forever inspired by the moonlight. Constantly healing, occasionally spiralling. Expect to drift and ache on the dance floor. For tender ravers only ❤️🩹

We acknowledge that this event takes place on stolen land on which the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation have been custodians for thousands of years. Its unceded territories have been a site for song, dance and culture long before settler-colonialism. We wish to pay our respects to Elders past and present, this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
Access notes: Wheelchair accessible, water based haze will be in use, no strobes, masks and ear plugs will be made available.

closing this evening will be r hunter 🌘
r hunter is the production project of Naarm-based artist Asher Elazary. his work traces the frayed edges between computer music, deconstructed club, drone and ambient - navigating technology, neurosis and desire through fragmented textures and unstable rhythmic forms.
informed by improvisation and collaborative exchange, his live set practice feels both precise and volatile. we’re excited to listen together tonight in celebration of Yield, r hunter’s new long-player on @_absorb__ - a standout record of the year in what is already an impressively expansive discography.
tix still online for a few more hours, see you tonight! 🪟
emerging from the fog this sunday (!!) will be scariestgirlintheworld 🌫️
shaped by our city’s experimental music and underground rave scenes, her performances are visceral and introspective. exploring the full range of the frequency spectrum through feedback, scariestgirlintheworld fabricates limitless worlds through hums and harshness.

after more than ten years in the outskirts of Tokyo, Wa?ste returns for a long-awaited rare live appearance in his home city.
his hypnagogic sound blurs voice, guitar and digital detritus, then cut open by the serrated edges of trance and gabber. active across upcycled clothing design, installation and performance, he also helms the Spirit Theatre mix series, co-runs Tokyo’s Radix parties and established the shopfront and event space Re:Store in Matsudo.
our evening of ****** electronics with @_absorb__ is next sunday, we are very much looking forward to hosting you 🕸️
we are soon approaching our evening of exploratory sounds in collaboration with Naarm label @_absorb__
we’re thrilled to have Yuin composer JWPaton share field recordings and create staggering noise walls, as heard across several releases on Room40 and various tape labels. his music oscillates between harsh and ruminative, enmeshing analog and digital material to build sound worlds examining ancient futurism and the complex ouroboroi of the natural world & colonial structures and technologies.
