We’re turning five with a superb two-part compilation, and this second half dives into deeper waters than the first. It comes from a mix of both longtime contributors and contemporary artists whose evolving sounds inspire the label’s direction today. Lars Behrenroth remix on Nutty Nys’s ‘The Promise’ kick off with a tender and vulnerable deep house sound and Christophe Salin’s gets more physical but no less gooey with its lush pads and rubbery kicks. Elsewhere, Thierry Tomas layers up lush r&b vocals and warming synth hues, Session Victim bring jazzy expression to his fulsome house grooves and Eloi’s ‘Take Your Time’ is a dusty closer laced up with lovely pianos. For our fifth anniversary, we present a two-part various artists compilation exploring the theme of duality. The first part kicks off with Jehan’s ‘Casino Aquatique’ which is a breezy and warm deep house jam with smooth vocals radiating soul. Scruscru then brings more funky drums and expressive disco melodies, and Shaka’s ‘That Spot Under The Sun’ is pure Mediterranean vibes. With this release, we introduce a new artist from Moscow — Noots. His debut on our label unfolds across eight tracks that challenge strict genre definitions. Rather than adhering to a single stylistic direction, the album builds its own internal architecture: ambient, deep house, echoes of jungle, and more experimental textures appear not as fixed categories, but as states of mind. Two tracks for each — four perspectives within one shared space. For us, this is more than a stylistic departure. In many ways, it feels like a debut of our own. The record incorporates personal field recordings: the sound of Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad metro station, which the artist returns to every day, and a spontaneous recording from a friend’s garage, where an evening among friends quietly turned into a trace of time. These fragments do not illustrate the music — they coexist with it. Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad is an album about environment and memory, about familiar routes that gradually become part of an inner rhythm. For the label, it marks the beginning of an experimental year. For Noots, it is a point of departure.
