As I find myself prioritizing early mornings more than late nights, I've struggled to find outlets for my creativity when it comes to DJ'ing and exploring/showcasing the spectrum of incredible sounds that are out there.
Fortunately on March 12th myself and @anomalous.rhythms will be starting a resident monthly show on @bsidedotradio which has been a pillar of the underground music community in Vancouver since 2021.
Second Thursdays of the Month. 7-9pm PST. Come hang out with us. First one is March 12th
Anomalous is a veteran DJ and an awesome dude who has deep and nuanced crates. His mix style is impeccable and I'm stoked to be co-hosting with him.
With Archetypes we hope to blend underground electronic music with some level of storytelling. History, genre/label deep dives, foundational sounds and more. Genre agnostic, but we both have a lean towards sound culture.
@bsidedotradio and @thebeaumontstudios are true third spaces and are powered by donations. Please donate if you can spare a few bucks.

Special birthday edition this week as I reflect back on 20 years behind the decks and 40 in this cosmic existence. @anomalous.rhythm will hold down the first hour and then for hour 2 I'm semi chronologically go through some of the most influential tracks across many genres that got me where I am today. We're having fun with this one.

An artist that has been DJing since the early 2000's, his passion and dedication to the local underground scene has been an energy I happily resonated with upon us meeting and engaging at events here and there over the last couple of years. Typically more active in the Bass music scene here in Vancouver at present, his early days were rooted in progressive house and breaks. Excited to have him here on the show tonight to showcase some different sounds for the community.
Myself aka @sirena.grooves will play the first hour from 9-10PM PST and Feelgood will take over the controls for the guest slot 10-11PM.

This is an event I've wanted to throw for a LONG time. I think the first time I brought it up with @jonah_k_23 was in 2019. The vision for a heavy, darker focused Halloween event has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember.
This lineup with @jonah_k_23 , @daegasound  and @b.ii.s.h.o.p  is in my mind, the ideal Halloween booking. Dark, heavy, bassy, mystical vibes that incorporate modern soundculture flavors.
Jonah K is a talented audio visual artist who has also been a big community builder through her Suma events in Toronto for the last 20 years. With releases on Samsara, Onset and many more her deep catalogue of 140/halftime/DNB flavours are going to be a treat and a half.
On the West Coast most of you don't need and introduction to Daega Sound whose brand of heavy hitting innovative sounds are always a standout. And more recently Biishop who has been making waves with her sets at Bass Coast, Shambhala and more.
It all coalesces on Friday October 31st at the Deli. Sound will be dialed. Vibe will be on lock. Costumes are encouraged. Decor and visuals to match.
Still a little ways away. but grab your early birds, it means a lot. If cost is an obstacle to attending, please reach out to me directly.
