Happy Mother’s Day to the greatest person I know. I am truly lucky the have you in my life. Us having Sophie made you a mother officially but you’ve been mothering your friends and family long before that. Your penchant to take care of everyone you care about is your most redeeming quality. I constantly watch you fret over whether or not you are able to create an environment in which everyone involved has something that will make them smile. My hope for you always is that people realize that you are never not looking out for their best interest and they do not take your love for granted. I love you so much. ❤️
Thank you! On Saturday, I completed my 50th year of life. I have many mixed feelings about it and spent the morning trying to wrap my head around that number. Was also thinking a lot about my parents and how they were 17 year old kids when they had me. My father said he also spent the morning trying to wrap his head around that number. 😂 In the grand scheme of things, me and my parents really grew up together. 17 years is not a huge age difference and as I was figuring out who I was….they were also still figuring themselves out as well. Spent a lot of time thinking about my Mom. Missing her a lot. Especially when playing with Sophie. Just knowing what they are both missing out on really eats me up from time to time. I can say, I have the best friends and family that I could ever hope for. I love you all with everything I’ve got.
And when I look back at my first 50 years I feel that I’ve accomplished quite a bit and one of those accomplishments is meeting and keeping quality people in my life. So, to everyone who reached out, the birthday wishes are not unnoticed and much appreciated. Here’s to the next 50 years. ❤️
