BLK@D leveraged AI and created a virtual production pipeline to create our film “Now, for Tomorrow”. A process that has traditionally taken months and a large team to complete was achieved by a team of just four people in a span of one month.
Decoded's BLK@D is revolutionizing our approach to production and creative development by finding innovative ways to enhance efficiency, speed, and intelligence in our work.
Stay tuned for more updates on this cutting-edge project! 📽️

Our BLK@D group has been developing a short film using the power of AI. We challenged ourselves by finding effective ways to integrate AI into our current workflow, and we achieved success.
By leveraging AI to structure the script and treatment of our story, as well as create the storyboards and animatics, we were able to break traditional barriers in ideation and concepting. We are increasing the potential expressions of our ideas, while simultaneously accelerating the speed at which we make, unlocking limitless creative possibilities. #BLK@D #AIFilmmaking #UnrealEngine #ShortFilm #Innovation
We go to great lengths to supercharge small businesses—literally. As part of our Small Business Accelerator program, we partnered with El Camino Travel, a startup that brings solo female travelers together for culturally immersive, group travel experiences. We researched the core motivations of current El Camino travelers and launched this bespoke, data-driven design-driven, insight-generating brand campaign that encapsulates the spirit.
“A brand like El Camino is the kind that makes it easy to do beautiful work,” says Laura Holmes, our Group Creative Director. “They’re addressing a real need–more thoughtful, curated experiences for the misunderstood and underserved segment of female solo travelers. With this in mind, we designed this campaign to do more than just promote the brand. We hope it can be a creative and strategic foundation from which they can gain more meaningful insights about their audience, and continue to grow the business.”
Uber Eats asked, and we delivered.
We partnered with the brand to extend yesterday’s big game spot with Diddy to social channels . Get ready for all the ways we’ll get #UberOne’s membership stuck in your head via your feed.
“Every artist pairing, lyric and one-liner is not just a means of extending TV into a bonkerstown social campaign - every ad will create signals as to which #UberOne benefits are the catchiest to build around well beyond Super Bowl Sunday.”
—Slate Donaldson, Group Creative Director
As the end of 2022 draws near, we're celebrating our process: a continuous cycle of experimentation and making, sharing our creations out into a chaotic world, and learning from the entire experience to make the work even better. Happy Holidays!

Stay Curious.
If it were up to us to pick one rule to live by, it would be this: question everything! Let's push the envelope of what we think we know and welcome opportunities to improve ourselves, our ideas and our work.

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month is coming to a close, and Asians of Decoded is proud to present this video highlighting a local Asian American artist, Pat Kim. A talented woodworker, furniture maker, product designer, and artist, Pat graciously showed us around his woodshop in Red Hook, Brooklyn and took us through his creative process as he built and assembled a mobile sculpture using wood, brass, and mother of pearl. Pat also spoke about the concept of legacy, and what leaving a mark on the Asian American design and art worlds means to him.
The experience of those who identify as Asian or Pacific Islander varies greatly, especially in the US, and we are incredibly grateful and glad that we are able to spotlight just one of those unique stories here today. We hope you enjoy.
