I’m calling it now — this is one of the best burgers in San Diego right now, and it also happens to be one of the most thoughtful. At @deckmansnorth , Drew Deckman (@bajafishingchef ) is turning regenerative beef into something seriously craveable with a burger that’s as intentional as it is delicious.
Built with regenerative beef sourced from @cartercountrymeats , this burger is rooted in the idea of using incredible ingredients responsibly. The bun from @blackhatbreads is a soft sweet potato brioche that brings just the right touch of sweetness, while seaweed aioli, caramelized onions, and house-made pickles give it that signature Deckman’s North edge.
And the sides absolutely hold their own. Think thick-cut fries cooked in beef tallow plus lacto-fermented veggies that bring the perfect crunch and acidity to balance it all out. It’s rich, layered, thoughtful, and flat-out delicious.
