This weekend I will be at the season opening market @mossstmarket Saturday May 2, 10-2 and then @makesharevictoria May Day Spring Fair @seaciderhouse 11-4.
Each event will be full of talented makers, bakers, growers and the weather is looking top notch. I will have all the usual goodies, plus new art prints including a sweet little print for MOM in case you wanna pick something up for yours ahead of Mother's Day next weekend!

Lately I’ve been working in an analog sketchbook and it’s been scratching an itch in my brain that’s so satisfying. Now when I start a new drawing in procreate I’m starting with sketch brushes instead of my go to monoline pencil. This kestrel will change as I continue to refine it but I really loved the first marks that came out last night when I sketched it.
Last spring and summer we had a pair of mating kestrels hang around our property and I’m hoping they come back (or the younglings do) this year. It was so fun to watch them fly around and talk to each other. I ♡ birds.
My friend makes the sweetest art and I wanted to share it with the community, so over the last several months, I've been buying her bookmarks and putting them in local book boxes all over the island. I have a stash in my glove box for whenever I come across one of the many bookboxes lovingly built and attentively curated all throughout this land. What a joy it has been to leave little pieces of art for others to find! Thank you @decemberstudio for sharing your beautiful mind with us. It’s been so nice to see sunny daffodils popping up during these ever cloudy, rainy days!! It’s supposed to be a little sunnier this weekend though so you should come see me at @localfolkandfound market on Sunday where you will find these happy bookmarks and so much more.
Did a cute little photo shoot with the button designs I’ve been making and selling. I haven’t shared theses online I don’t think, but they are always a conversation starter at market events. It’s so fun to watch folks sort through the button bowl and grin as they go.

Oh boy I think I have the February blues! I am itching to get back out to the markets and for spring to arrive. I always feel this way right before the shift of seasons, anxious to get into the next one right at the end of the one we’re in. Anyone else?
The past two weeks I’ve been away from my studio doing some other part time work and it’s been fun, but I’m ready to ease back in and tidy up the place to prepare for the upcoming sunny season full of lovely days and fun times. Today I’m starting tax prep and soon I will be starting some commissions but I’m hopeful to bring you a spring/summer market schedule in the next couple of weeks 🤞🏼
I hope you are all doing ok and trying your best, no matter what that looks like. And I hope you’re getting rest and love and hugs too (if you like hugs that is!)
