This is basically the Everglades version of Uber Black… If you’re heading to Everglades National Park, this is the activity you probably don’t want to skip. Most of the park is sightseeing and boardwalk trails, but an airboat ride takes you deeper into the marshes where you can experience the wild side of Florida. 📌: 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 & 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄 👉 Here’s the scoop: - Airboats aren’t allowed inside the park, so you’ll need to hop on one before entering (you’ll see plenty near the Shark Valley entrance). - We did ours at @gatorpark — tickets were ~$35 and we were on the next boat within minutes. - Rides last ~20–30 minutes, and while gator sightings aren’t guaranteed (it’s wild nature after all), they do have a little educational show after where you can see one up close. - Prices vary depending on how long + how private you want your tour. My tip - if this is something that you really have in your bucket list to do, go for a more private or longer tour. I did kind of feel like we just went out, hit the Everglades and came back. It was hoping for a little more. Follow me @prettyliltraveler for more bucket list experiences and travel tips! #evergladesnationalpark #florida #airboatrideseverglades #prettylilflorida @decapture

BONNEVILLE SALT FLATS: One of the most incredible natural landscapes in Utah, and what you need to know about them. 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 📍: The Bonneville Salt Flats are only about an hour and a half west of Salt Lake City. Access to the Salt Flats can be found at a spot off the side of the I80. 🅿️: There is plenty of parking at the I80 rest stop. It's free, and open to the public. 🚐: One of the coolest things about these salt flats is that you can actually drive your car out on them. The best place to enter is from the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway. Driving on the Salt Flats is pretty weather dependent. If the Salt Flats are wet or moist, DO NOT DRIVE ON THEM. ⛺️: There is no overnight camping on the Flats, and you can not sleep at the truck spot off the I8. BUT, no worries because there are a ton of amazing dispersed camping only about 10 minutes away, towards the back of the flats. 📸: There's so many ways to get creative when shooting the Salt Flats. Sunrise and sunset are going to be the best times to shoot as the colors from the sky reflect off the white flats. Play around with different shots and angles. And drones are allowed, so if you have a drone - go nuts! During the Fall & Winter, much of the flats may be covered in a layer of water, so you should be able to find some crazy reflections! It's up to us to take care of nature. Please be respectful and remember to leave no trace. 🗺️ To help you travel easier, check out my downloadable Map of Utah which has all of these incredible Utah gems, camping near the flats, and so much more. LEMON SQUEEZE & SKY TOP - TRAIL REVIEW ✨ 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 👣: This was a hybrid of Lemon Squeeze to Eagle Cliff & Sky Top Trail 📍: MoHonk Preserve, New York 🥾 : ~7.0 mile loop ⬆️ : +1,410 ft Elevation 😅 : Difficult just because of the squeezes and elevation gain. There are numerous trails that you can take around this area and up to the Sky Top Tower. Some have tight climbs, like this one, or you can just take walking trails up (which just might take a little longer). Some of these hikes do not include the Sky Tower, but I would recommend adding it because the views really are incredible. Personal Review: I was surprised with how quickly the elevation increased and remained pretty consistent throughout the trail. The scramble up felt like it lasted forever, mostly because you are trail finding pretty much the entire time - so it's mentally exhausting. I loved the ladders and tight squeezes, but you definitely don't want to have a large backpack on you. Take extra water, and if you don't feel like doing the entire hike, just use @alltrails to find one of the other many trails back to your car. ⭐️ 8/10 👦: @decapture

The spot vs. the view ✨ 🥾 EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS AMAZING ALPINE HIKE. 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 TRAIL: Big Pine Lakes Trail LOCATION: Eastern Sierras, near Bishop, CA MILE: ~15.2miles to round all of the lakes. Shorter if you choose to just do a few lakes. ELEVATION: ~4,000ft elevation change DIFFICULTY: Hard ON TRAIL CAMPING: Yes! You can camp the lakes, but our favorite campsite was at the second lake. WATER AVAILABLE ON TRAIL FOR FILTERING: Yes SPECIAL PERMITS NEEDED: Yes, you need to receive a permit to backpack into Big Pine Lakes in the Inyo National Wilderness. Permits can be found at recreation.gov, but permits for this hike usually get bought out first. You can do this on a day hike without permits. TIPS: Start the trail before the sun gets too hot, the first two miles of the trail are pretty exposed. We slept at the second lake for two nights and connected it to the Palisades Glacier Trail. It's up to us to take care of nature. Please be respectful and remember to leave no trace. There are so many incredible places to discover in the Sierra Nevadas. 📍: Thornhill Broom This might sound surprising but there actually are not many places near (or in) Los Angeles that you can camp, or even have a bonfire on the beach. Thornhill Broom comes in with my 5⭐️ review because not only can you drive right up to your space, you’re right in the ocean and I mean, come on, look at this view. 🪵: @decapture

Who’s done them? What did you think? 👀 If you are researching Mt Whitney, then you have no doubtedly heard about the 99 switchbacks. This area has legitimately 99 different switchbacks that rise over 1,700 feet to the ridge above when you are hiking Mt. Whitney starting at the Whitney Portal. My best advice is to get a little sleep at trail camp, then wake up dark and early to attempt the climb before sunrise. But if you do get stuck on the switchbacks during sunrise (like we did), it's okay! You'll at least have some pretty remarkable views.

SOME OF THE WILDEST PLACES IN SOUTHERN UTAH THAT ARE NOT NATIONAL PARKS. ✨ 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋  With the mighty 5 (Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Moab, and Capitol Reef) being located in Southern Utah, it's going to be hard to convince yourself to escape anywhere else. But if you ask me, some of the best places in Utah are actually not the National Parks. Here are some new places to explore on your next trip to UTAH.  - Grand Staircase Escalante  - Goblin of Fire State Park - Snow Canyon State Park - Dead Horse State Park - Gooseneck State Park - Factory Buttes - Kanab  - The Forest Gump spot (directly North of Monument Valley) - Vermilion Cliffs (immediately south of the Utah state line) Photo taken by @decapture Find all of these locations and more on my map of Utah, LINK IN BIO

✨ 4 ALPINE LAKES IN CALIFORNIA WHERE YOU CAN LITERALLY DO IT ALL - CAMP, SWIM, FISH, AND R&R - Hiking Required ✨ 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 Spring is here which means you're probably starting to think about where you are going to spend those upcoming warm weekends. I might be a tad biased, but a road trip through central California sounds like the perfect way to spend it. If you are interested in hiking up to some of the prettiest turquoise blue water in all of the state, here are some of my favorite alpine hikes in the Sierras! 🥾 Big Pine Creek Trail (North Fork)– 15.2 miles loop near Big Pine, California. Sleep under the stars next to some of the bluest water that I've ever seen in California. The best lakes to camp at are lake 2&3. You do not need to do the full loop. 🥾 Lone Pine Lake – 5.6 miles out and back, the first part of the Mt Whitney trail from the portal. Phenomenal trail with scenic views the entire way. 🥾 Shadow Lake - 8.5 miles in and back, this hike crosses a picturesque canyon and passes a plunging cascade to visit a mountain lake in Ansel Adams Wilderness near Mammoth Lakes. 🥾 Ediza Lake & Thousand Island Lake - 25 mile loop, this multi-day trek incorporates sections of John Muir Trail and Pacific Crest Trail to visit a series of stunning Sierra lakes in the Ansel Adams Wilderness of Inyo National Forest. *Wilderness permits are needed to hike some of these trails during certain parts of the year. To find more alpine lake hikes like these, you'll want to download my Google Map of California where I share all of my favorite hikes, hot springs, view points and more! Link in Bio. 🎣: @decapture

What’s your toy of choice? What do you think mine is? ATV or Sled? Located right at the boarder between Mexico and California, you find Glamis, otherwise known as the self-proclaimed “Sand Toy Capital of the World”. At these Imperial Sand Dunes, you can rent 4x4s, atvs, dirt bikes, sleds.. pretty much anything you can think of to ride these epic, six miles wide and 45 miles long, dunes. What else can you do at Glamis? Literally anything. The best part about Glamis is that the world is your oyster - just be respectful to others around you and watch out for riders. 🏍
