Dreaming today…
this location was beautiful, just outside Napa in California, the weather on our side and a moment of heavenly light .
Working outside can be very unpredictable but that’s the part I like, the part that relies on time and space and giving over to the elements and trying not to swear when it’s windy and raining .

Beautiful sunny day today at home and it made me think about this picture for @shopterrain we did earlier this year in California. I am hopeless at posting on instagram, It is never easy to go back and look at images , I always find fault . It would be so much easier if you could post the pictures the day you shot them ! Perhaps as the world moves faster and faster that will happen…
though it will probably be AI doing the picture by then not me 🌞
So lucky to have been commissioned to photograph this in India for @oka . Documenting the handcraft involved in making their homeware. Visually it was just stunning but it’s the people that made it the most special .
Sometimes I work in places that are just so beautiful it feels like it would be hard to take a bad picture and when you start the job you feel the pressure to make sure you use the location and the beautiful light in the best possible way. It’s not always easy because there are restraints. Which way the light is coming from, what furniture you have to show and also following a brief and hoping the weather works for what you need . It’s such a team effort and my part is only small . There are always so many amazing people working to help get things right 🙏🤞
Another year round the sun and I fly home today after a beautiful break in this special place . It feels good to start the year with slightly less dilemmas than last year and a bit of headspace to create some new ones .

When I moved in here a year ago I was camping in one room covered in dust and feeling like I had over stretched myself in every direction to the point I thought I wanted to keep my head under a pillow.
I moved for the place but it’s been the people thats been the best surprise and made it wonderful … so many amazing characters and everyone so friendly and kind. Who would have known humans still exist 😍
