I’m proud to be from a city as vibrant, inclusive and diverse as London.
Our city’s heritage is built on the strength of the many communities who call it home, working together and standing united in our shared values of kindness, compassion and unity.
These are the values that underpin the @mayorofldn ’s #LovedandWanted campaign. We’re sending a loud and undeniably clear message that in our city everyone is welcome, loved and wanted.
We cannot be complacent in defending our values. We need to actively choose solidarity every day and inspire others to do the same.
The wonderful writer Bell hooks once wrote that “Love is most often defined as a noun, yet… we would all love better if we used it as a verb.”
Love as a verb is about action - showing up for one another and committing to stand together.
We know these are uncertain and unsettling times. But time and again, Londoners show us what is possible when we choose hope over fear, unity over division, and love over hate.
Too many Londoners still face barriers to finding work.
I was proud to host our first Inclusive Talent Brokerage Careers fair, connecting over 200 Londoners with live job opportunities.
Since last year, the programme has supported 200+ people into work - many of them young people and Londoners from communities who continue to face the greatest barriers to employment.
Our focus remains on creating fairer pathways into work for all Londoners.
Everyone deserves to be treated fairly in healthcare.
NHS staff are at the heart of patient experience and supporting them means better care for everyone.
Through our WIN Design Lab we’re working with @NHSEngland to strengthen support for workers and improve health outcomes for all Londoners.
@profkevinfenton , Director of Public Health shares why equity and inclusion in healthcare matters so much for our communities.
Happy St George’s Day 🏴
Today we celebrate England’s rich history and the communities that make our country strong.
In London, that means standing together across faiths and backgrounds with pride, respect and unity.
Stephen Lawrence Day is a time to reflect on Stephen’s enduring legacy and renew our commitment to tackling racism in all its forms.
The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation does important work to help young people from underrepresented backgrounds access the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Over the past month, London’s Jewish community has faced a series of shameful antisemitic attacks.
This is unacceptable, and at moments like this we must stand together in allyship with our Jewish friends, colleagues and communities.
Little over a day after the attack on Finchley Reform Synagogue, despite the fear and anxiety caused, the community came together for Shabbat.
In a powerful show of solidarity, members of the Somali Bravenese community also attended, standing shoulder to shoulder in support.
And people from all faiths and sections of society came together to light candles and stand in solidarity
That is the London I believe in. Hate will not win.

A wonderful weekend at Vaisakhi on the Square, with so many people coming together to celebrate Sikh and Punjabi communities. Was a pleasure to serve food in the Langar tent alongside amazing volunteers from a range of Gurdwaras across the city and to meet the artists, charities and staff associations promoting Sikh culture and contribution across the UK. This is diversity in all its beauty.
Trafalgar Square came alive today for Vaisakhi on the Square. ✨
Through music, culture and Langar, the festival highlighted the richness of Sikh heritage. Today we celebrate London’s Sikh and Punjabi communities and the vital role they play in our city.
I’m incredibly proud that our Loved and Wanted campaign received an Innovation Award and we achieved the Trailblazer accreditation as part of the @stonewalluk Proud Employers Programme.
It was a moment to reflect on how much it matters for people to feel seen, heard and valued, especially during times of uncertainty.
While these are positive milestones, we remain committed to driving inclusion forward.
As progress is increasingly being challenged, this was a much needed reminder that meaningful change is built collectively. I was grateful to come together with others who share that commitment.
Was grateful to join the Jesuit Refugee Service for a really special Easter gathering.
After the service, everyone came together over a shared West African meal prepared by refugee community members, celebrating faith and cultural connection.
It was uplifting to see the support provided to refugees and displaced people, grounded in Christian values of service, compassion, and “loving thy neighbour”.
This is reflected in the warmth and sense of community felt by everyone who walks through their doors.
