Recycling trash. Eff the nerds. Got plenty of middle fingers at the protest today but got way more honks and thumbs ups. It was interesting that all the fingers were attached to people that looked like idiots cut from the same pissed off cloth while the cheers were from 100 different souls and a dozen different shades of skin. Did we help? Nah. But felt good to make eye contact with like minded individuals.
Something got into the back yard and killed all the chickens while I was gone for the holidays. 6 months down the drain, they were gonna start laying this month… but, like my grandpa told me when I was a kid and he’d lose a chicken “it’s sad, but chickens are born just lookin for a place to die…” rip baby birds.
Made a couple mezcal/tequila serving sets! Each comes with a 750(ish) bottle, 4 copitas and optional bong sold separately! They will be available after this weekend at @maufrais.austin on South Congress in the @waysides.co area of the store! Plenty of great gift ideas and just general vibes if you’re in the area! 🖤
Next weekend is the Sandlot World Series!! Saturday Oct 25th! First game is at 11 with your @texasplayboysbaseball taking on the cool cats from the west side of town, @mopacflyinshoes Come scarf a @wienersystem and watch some ball. Hoping the sledge swings pay off and I hit one to outer space. Weather should be perfect and there’s games literally all day! Just a reminder to go outside, simply to enjoy it.
Today was a ten mile bike ride over multiple train yards and abandoned graineries. Wanted to explore them but heard people yelling in the two that were accessible. Maybe one day I can make friends with the inhabitants and get to peak inside… horse apples and softballs, both found in the same creek. Hoping to find some clay tomorrow. 🤎
Didn’t go as planned, but it rarely does. Got the brood babe off the nest though and hopefully laying some fresh protein bombs soon.
