The story wasn’t finished. Two tracks that never found a home on the original release of TOY are out now! ‘Bedroom Pacer’ & ‘I Can’t Make It Right’ are now live on all streaming platforms.
This album has felt so special to us. We chose to take everything back to the foundations and build something that truly represented where we came from and where we want to go, and boy did it take us where we want to go. TOY led us to our first tours in Europe, the UK and North America. It hit #1 on the AUS ARIA chart and #4 overall on release week, we ticked off Audiotree from the bucket list, and we got to smash out two incredibly special Aussie tours and play some mega festivals.
But we know it’s not just the music that makes these things possible. It’s the people. It’s you. So to show our deepest thanks for one of the craziest years of our lives, we wanted to give you a couple of extra unreleased tracks as a thank you for all of your undying support.
These are songs we truly love but just couldn’t find a place for on the initial release of TOY. We hope they find their home with you ❤️
So tonight we played Seattle, Washington.
We started this band in 2013 with dreams of maybe playing a show outside of our home state of NSW. Here we are 12 years later, 7 weeks in to a 10 week tour of North America, having extensively toured all of Australia and done our first tour of Europe and the UK in November last year.
While Seattle is no more important of a city than any other, to us it feels like a significant and momentous occasion, because it’s a signifier of achieving something so far beyond our initial expectations.
We’ve been asked many times on this tour “Why Seattle?”, a completely valid question for 4 guys from Sydney, Australia, so here is the answer…
As a kid, I (Brae) lived in Seattle for a brief period due to my Dad’s work. I have a tonne of amazing memories of family camping trips, soccer games and white christmases with my mum, dad and brother Kyle. In many respects, it was the perfect childhood. In September 2001, my Dad went for a surf one Sunday morning in San Francisco and never returned. We were living in the US as a provision of Dad’s greencard, and so were given two weeks to pack up our lives and leave the country. And so we returned to Australia.
Dear Seattle is an ode to the time before I lost my dad. To the blissful innocence and unbridled joy of childhood, before life made me grow up fast.
In 24 years, I haven’t had the chance to come back to Seattle, despite always wanting to, and it is utterly surreal to me that music is what brought me back here. Music has always been my coping mechanism, my journal to vent my thoughts and feelings, and ultimately my remedy to the loss of my Dad all those years ago. It’s weird how things come full circle sometimes.
I keep dreaming, and I keep surprising myself every time the dreams come true. Tonight we get to experience yet another.
Thank you to everyone who helped get us here. We can feel you with us.
All the love, always
Dear Seattle

Sydney's Northern Beaches have produced a lot of great things — and Dear Seattle might just be the best of them. DS ❤️ BRIS. Every damn time yall show up and make it a night to remember. Sick way to kick off shows for 2026 (and there’s more where that came from). Thanks so much to @theprincebris for having us and @darcygossmedia for this mega snap
With a distinctive Aussie tinge to their emotive and propulsive wares, @dearseattle are a headbanging-with-heart punk rock band from Sydney Australia’s Northern Beaches. Playing songs from across their discography, Dear Seattle brings their modern take on 90’s pop-punk and alt-rock into their Audiotree Live performance.
One part mosh pit, and one part love letter, Dear Seattle have created a truly unique and powerful style of songwriting. The band’s most recent album, ‘TOY’, dazzles with raw lyricism and salient songwriting, with the band teaming up with returning producer @fletchermatthews to powerfully level up the Dear Seattle signature sound without sacrificing the quartet’s core sonic charm in the process.
ONE YEAR OF TOY 🖤 The record that took us to 8 new countries, exceeded every chart expectation we could’ve had, introduced us to new lifelong friends and gave us memories we will cherish till our dying days. It’s hard to find words to express how grateful we are to every single one of you. We will never forget the year we’ve just had.
There’s only two questions that remain… What countries next? And who wants new music?
Took 2 weeks to recover enough to get a post up from NYE at @great_escape_music_festival 😂 What a ridiculously good way to end a MASSIVE 2025. We love you Tassie 🫶
Got some hot shid cookin for 2026 already. Can’t wait to rip innnnnnn
