Mabuhay! The Tsismosas Art Collective brings their interactive art installation to this year’s From Sea to SEA Festival!
Inspired by Filipino weaving traditions, Dream Link is a community artwork that reflects both the conversational spirit of weaving and the interlacing of separate paper links into a unified paper link tapestry.
Building on The Tsismosas Art Collective’s first exhibition, “Pangarap: Speaking Dreams into Reality”, the collective continues its community dialogue. While previous participants shared personal dreams and aspirations, Dream Link invites audiences to reflect on what it means to be Southeast Asian and envision how they would like their culture, language, history, city, or country to be represented and celebrated.
Participants are encouraged to answer one of the posted questions and connect their responses to the growing chain of links.
As the installation expands throughout the day, individual stories intertwine, symbolizing interconnectedness, solidarity, and collective support within the community.
We’re so excited to partner with @tsismosasnyc for the From Sea to SEA NYC Festival!
