I have a song coming out this Friday 10/17 everywhere you listen to music. It would mean the world if you pre-saved it. The link is in my bio.
I try to water down and even deflect my real dream of making a living as a creative. I try to do a lot of other things to make money and make a way for my kids to feel secure, but at the end of the day, I’m a person who makes music. Through feast or famine, she makes music.
I have been looking for “straight jobs” and not having any luck. I’m still open to it, though, if you hear of anything! I want to be with my kids, whatever I end up doing.
Anyways, thanks for pre-saving, streaming, and buying, if you can. It all helps, it all makes a difference.
@gillianwelchofficial like the wise sage she is, could foresee the plight independent/lower middle class creators find ourselves in these days, and she wrote this perfect song about it like AGES ago, and it hits hard.
#shirleymanson talked about it from stage how Garbage won’t be touring North America much after this tour, and that video is being tossed around a lot. Good. This world would suck without music. ALL KINDS OF MUSIC. Not just the big pop stuff.
My new song is called “Sobbing on the Stairmaster” and I wrote it back in the early Spring by myself when the girls were watching some tv and Dean was on the road. I did find myself sobbing on the stairmaster, trying to juggle the weight of my lifestyle on the road, trying to raise my young children, the world burning around me, unsure how so many people can’t see it or don’t care to see it. And I was really proud of myself, where I might’ve done something a lot less healthy to cope years before, I took it out on my yoga mat and on that stairmaster! And I try to at least once a week at the
@margaretmaddoxymca , bless it.
I brought it to
@bryanjdawley in the form of a very silly work tape plucking away at Guitar terribly and I said I think it needs to be like 90s bop. Think Alanis Morissette, think Third Eye Blind, think Gin Blossoms… Without hesitation, he does what he does, and nails it. Thank you always, Bryan. Creating w you is one of my fav things it’s like breathing.
Friday. It’s coming to ya. Love you big.
