Per request I’m trying to do better posting videos of myself & share my personality more. The first year of my professional life, the first year fully on my own, of course we went into a global pandemic 😂😂😂😂 When I tell you I had PLANS! I was studying for the LSAT, not only did they cancel my classes, but the in person testing too! The law firm put me on furlough due to the courts being closed (low cases, low income) & my life took a direction of its own. Looking back over these last four years I wouldn’t trade the lessons I’ve learned, people I’ve met, experiences I’ve had, projects I’ve been apart, events I’ve thrown, sessions I’ve organized, content I’ve directed, partnerships I’ve facilitated, late nights, stress, early mornings, celebrations, and just over all life these past 4 years for anything! I’ve been thinking heavy on going back to school and getting my J.D. What do y’all think? Would you hire me as your lawyer?

It’s seem as “soft” or “feminine” for men to express their emotions when it reality emotional intelligence is healthy and needed in our communities (especially for growth). Music is an amazing outlet to facilitate your emotions. As a creative channeling your sadness, joy, anger , pain, grief , happiness, and life experiences into your craft is what makes good music. Music that connects us through shared experiences. Never be afraid to be vulnerable, ESPECIALLY while you’re creating. You never know who your testimony could help!

Success in the music industry is often times measured by one’s longevity & level of productivity. There’s nothing wrong with being ambitious, but don’t spread yourself too thin. It’s super important to prioritize your mental and physical health.
Productivity and execution should be prioritized, but so should the concept of planting strategic “seeds” that we water to grow as time progresses. If you value and nurture the relationships you form, not only will those relationships blossom over time but you’ll avoid burning yourself out.
