Thinking about my smashing friend, on their birthday. Recently, I’ve had a dearth of creativity. Sonya was so talented - and fiercely creative, always with multiple artistic projects on the go right up untill ill health finally prevented this. I’m trying to keep this in mind at the moment, trying to stop rubbishing ideas before giving them a go - to enjoy just playing, for a bit. Here’s to you, my friend. And to making art, for art’s sake 💚

Still one of my all time favourite pictures of myself*. Taken by Mr Aloha, in the delightfully dingy basement that was the former home of Subline, Brighton. This was at one of the fantastic shows put on by Club Silencio - sadly no more.
