Managed to snaffle a few hours,… and far too many beers with this man. Together Rich and I with our respective teams pulled off some of the greatest work around solutions during COVID that even include flying technicians in the dead of night on a plane borrowed from @levantinehill … we could write a book. Deacam and BentSpoke share a close bond, much of Deacam and Fermecraft success has been on the coattails of people like Richard Watkins, Phil and Dale Meddings. And saviours like @levantinehill . We are very lucky to be part of the extended family of Australian Craft Beer.

Photo Opportunity! So… working closely with Mondo, Deacam has successfully installed and commissioned extremely large batteries as part of the Victorian Neighbourhood Battery project. This one is a 1 mWh battery. That’s a lot of pink drummer bunnies.
After a four week rotation, Jack is coming home. If you are a fan of stunning copper and stainless work, make sure to visit the Colac Distillery in Port Adelaide ( no not Colac, Victoria… that turned out to be a much longer drive than I anticipated 😂). This work of art venue is showcasing Australian Distilling and has a menu to drool over. Following the same M O, the owners invested in Australian automation. Their new Fermecraft runs three stills, trade waste, extraction, ethanol sensing and utilities such as compressed air and the boilers. Comfortable, competent and extremely capable in distilling, I would think that both Deacam and Fermecraft are the dream team for craft beverage producers. I couldn’t help but clip on some great South Australian tunes. 🇦🇺

Our brand new Fermecraft Device installed here at the Giant Steps Winery is our new Banner Engineering g IO Link LED bulletin board. This allows Fermecraft to display multiple data points for winery operators. CO2, temp, humidity are all visible prior to entry to the barrel halls. Because Fermecraft is an entire plant operating platform it can force ventilation, restrict access and email alerts depending on the CO2 levels. This provides much higher levels of personal safety than a simple warning light and buzzer.

How bloody exciting! These two, starting as apprentices at Deacam, now experienced and extremely capable, Victorian A Grade Electricians,are setting of for Edinburgh. For the next few weeks Pip and Dylan will run point on the new installation of Fermecraft for a new brewery in Scotland. From humble beginnings I have been privileged to watch these two ( and many others ) grow into fantastic Australians. Not only are we exporting automation we are now exporting our skills. Good luck you two… blow their F*#king doors off! … oh… and have a great time.
