Our journey together as he was a subject in a ❤️ balloon valvuloplasty study that is published in medical school text book & possibly an intro step in little humans w SAS. The surgery was conducted by skilled medical Drs, researchers & specialists. Pretty wild start ... simba’s neck was clipped for carotid artery access.. entry of catheter & guide wire in prep of balloon insertion. Minor surgery complications but overall success • Emo story behind success.
The surgery was scheduled in 2008 - There I was a broken hearted girl from the smallest state, with a dog & truck. RI>FL>CA. I left everything I knew in hopes that a broken ❤️ can be fixed for my dog ... maybe myself too. The people involved in the study was my only hope to get him to live longer than age 2. The journey along the way included many critics of all types ...🗣non medical advice from people suggesting to feed him raw liver. Months before the surgery my engagement ended, laidoff, so broke - $300 in my bank account, my family did not agree with my move, & my travel buddy was only the dog. Everything seem so loud & chaotic. •
I wish I could give a better explanation but it was something... It was little reminders that kept me going forward to drive days to the university for his procedure. •
Never did I imagine the study would be published to train medical students in techniques or may further help in humans. My reminder to keep going. Irony of both ❤️s healed. I love California. #whispers
