My #brickvention2026 build is finally ready for display! Here is "Kaitiaki O Te Tonutanga / Keeper of the Continuum ", an examination of what lies beyond in the spaces beywern time and space - and who controls it.
Looking forward to traveling from #newzealand to show these off at the largest brick show I've ever attended.
Like the "Angel of Restoration" (also pictured, white) this has inspirations drawn from fantasy tropes, Magic:The Gathering and in this case, music. #pneuma is one of my favourite tracks, along with #parabola by #tool #toolband so I tried to create how I feel whenever I listen to those bangers. The full display versions will feature 3D printed name plaques, kindly created by the folks at @upscale_prints

Captains Log: Voyager Project Post 1: To the Journey!
I have been thinking about and planning a large scale build of my favourite Star Trek vessel - USS Voyager - for quite some time and after about six -eight months of thinking, gathering ideas, experimenting with some sizes etc I have finally starting putting bricks together. What you have here are the first build pictures of the project. Only one nacelle and part of the flight deck so far. As you can see I'm aiming for as smooth as finish as possible - which won't be easy given how curvy the ship is!
For reference, the diagram is a scaled up version of the ship, and each square on paper is 1 stud x 1 stud. That should give an overview of the build.
Once complete, I will display it in as many exhibitions as I can, thus I aim to transport her in one piece. I have a few ideas for that...

A time lapse of my latest work - "Sleepytime", from Bluey - Season 2, Episode 26. Made entirely out of @LEGO , this piece come in at 140cm x 112cm. It has over 8100 parts and weighs approx 9kg. It took over three months to plan and over 40 hours to build. It has a few layers of plates to give a slight 3D effect.
I was inspired by my kids to do this as I'd want them to feel that "I'm always here if you need me". It will find a permanent home in one of their bedrooms or in our lounge once I've taken it to a few shows in New Zealand (and hopefully beyond).

It took over 3 months of planning and 40 hours to put together over a solid week of building. It has a few layers to give it a slight 3D effect.
I was inspired by my kids (8M, 5F) to do this one as I'd want them to feel that "I'm always here if you need me". After I take it around various Brick Shows in NZ it will find a permanent home in one of their rooms or in the lounge.
I do hope you enjoy this one as much as I did putting it together. A speed build video is in the works for those who like that sort of thing. If you're interested in instructions I may be able to sort something out.

Anahera O Te Whakaora / The Angel of Restoration has been restored! She had a bit of an accident while at the last #christchurchbrickshow so I took the opportunity to rebuild her with a new pose - and a new purpose. Absolutely thrilled with the result!
Originally built in March 2023 this has been one of my favourite builds for a while. Based on a number of sources, most notably the card game Magic: The Gathering and video game Diablo 2.
