@loisthepiequeen_510 has been open for over 50 years, I’ve been going there for at least 30 of those years.
My granddad took me as a child as a reward for helping him cut grass at a home he owned in the neighborhood of the restaurant & I’ve been going back ever since.
I remember staring at all the famous people in the wall as a kid & wanting to be up there but I didn’t think it would ever happen & knowing Mr. Chris…. I knew asking would likely guarantee it would never happen lol. (He’s a super kind person, but I would’ve been scared to get disqualified by any means 😂)
One day, years ago, I went for breakfast & Mr.Chris walked up to me & said…. ‘Young man, let’s go take this picture’ & there it is…. A childhood dream manifested.

I lost my Grandma January 17th & I’ll forever appreciate what she did for myself & our family. She was a Godly woman, successful in her career, intelligent & talented.
I could be wrong because I was going through a lot of emotions yesterday durning my Grandmas home going service but I think this was the only photo that I got with family. Not all the male cousins who were there, but a few were prompted to take a photo.
But boy oh boy what a photo, 3 generations of Men that my Grandmother prayed for, sung to, rocked in her arms, taught, and loved.
