Tonight, at the @fireheronfff Candlelight Service, the Roll of Honor was played, luminaries lit, and their names were unveiled on the permanent plaque at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

On October 27, 1928, Private Albert J. Greiner of Engine Co. 27 (on theater detail at the time), died in the line of duty after he was struck on the head by a falling timber in the alley at the rear of the old Fox Theater.
Today, on the 1300 Block of F Street NW, #DCsBravest dedicated a Memorial Helmet in his honor and memory.
