What a beautiful evening celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month with Mayor Bowser and our DC community. Together, we commemorated the 40th Anniversary of the DC AANHPI Commission and honored the culture, contributions, and leadership of the AANHPI community in DC. The room was filled with community members, leaders, and families coming together in celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night so special.

Last Thursday, MOVA held our monthly resource symposium, bringing together partners from DC Greens, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation, the Buffalo Soldiers, and the U.S. Forest Service to share opportunities for getting outdoors. Attendees explored upcoming events, home farming resources, and the historical connection veterans have to protecting and sustaining our natural spaces. Stay tuned for our next Resource Symposium on May 28th when we’ll be discussing financial literacy.
