From your first candlelighting to your last❤️💙
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:14–16
Dallas Baptist University is grateful to announce a transformative $2 million gift from The Mitchell Foundation to the Don and Linda Carter School of Business as part of DBU’s STAND FIRM. STAND OUT. capital campaign.
As co-founders of Cinemark, the Mitchells have modeled visionary leadership marked by integrity and excellence. For more than two decades, they have faithfully invested in DBU through scholarships, the Ford Village Residential College, and the DBU Leadership Gala. Their legacy of generosity also includes support for ministries such as Bill Glass Prison Ministries, Young Life, Samaritan’s Purse, and Campus Crusade for Christ.
DBU President, Dr. Adam C. Wright, shared that "this extraordinary gift will impact generations of business students who will go on to lead with integrity and influence for the glory of God."
Thank you, DBU Family!
