Every decision I make is for my future. After a lot of thought, conversations with my family, and trusting God’s plan, I’ve decided to continue my academic and athletic journey at St. Luke’s School.
I want to thank West Haven for everything. This city, this program, my coaches, teammates, teachers, and everybody in the community helped shape me into who I am today. Putting on that blue meant everything to me, and no matter where life takes me, I’ll always be a Westie at heart.
All the early mornings, practices, hard losses, big wins, and memories made me better both on and off the field. The love and support over the years never went unnoticed, and I’ll always appreciate everybody who invested time into me.
This wasn’t an easy decision at all, but I’m excited for this next chapter and the opportunity to grow both academically and athletically at St. Luke’s. I’m ready to get to work, compete, and represent my new school while continuing to carry West Haven with me everywhere I go.
New level. Same kid. 🫶🏾

Eddie Panian (Captain) 🏈
#14 | DB | WR | K/P Four-Year Varsity Player
Eddie Panian is a four-year varsity standout and captain for St. Luke’s School Football. A proven leader and impact player on both sides of the ball, Eddie brings intelligence, toughness, and explosive energy to every rep. Coaches describe him as tenacious, fearless, and a dawg — the emotional spark of the team.
“Eddie could do anything on the field — to the highest level possible. His energy and effort showed up every single day, whether at practice or under the lights. He was flying around the field making tackles, big hits, and game-changing plays.”
“He looks like he should be on the cover of GQ magazine — there’s no way that same guy just scored two touchdowns, hit a 40-yard field goal, and put the other team’s best player on a stretcher.”
If his mom were on the team, Eddie says she’d be the punter — “I get my soccer skills from her.”
A natural motivator, he’s the first to the field and the last to leave. His pregame ritual includes connecting with teammates and getting everyone fired up alongside Mrs. Nicole. This season’s highlight was a joint tackle with teammate Roberto on the Long Island Lutheran quarterback in his final away game. His favorite career memory was the King game victory, a moment that defined SLS resilience and brotherhood.
Off the field, Eddie is disciplined, team-oriented, and academically strong. He plans to attend college and pursue rugby to continue competing at a high level.
“Thank you — and let’s beat Peddie.”
