THE PROS OF CONS is a series of talks that highlights creatives who are active and interested in producing and selling art and design merchandise at art markets, conventions, and other creative spaces.
For our third installment, the MERCH EDITION will focus on the processes behind merch creation and production, covering topics such as printing, sourcing suppliers, choosing materials, product types, costing, pricing, and other related aspects.
Merch production has always been an essential part of the creative community, from finding reliable production partners to understanding pricing and identifying events that best suit specific products. We aim to open a meaningful discussion around these topics and highlight the importance of merch quality, the business side of production, and the role of production partners within the community.

This @manilaillustrationfair , we had the pleasure of printing works for @baraa_awoor2 , a Palestinian award-winning illustrator of over 40 children’s books published across the Arab world and beyond.
Her illustrations have been featured in major international exhibitions like the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and in magazines across the UK and Italy. Her books have been translated into more than six languages.
Through poetic visuals and symbolic narratives, Baraa tells stories of identity, memory, and freedom.
We always say we love seeing the final prints firsthand before the rest of the world does — and when we first saw hers, we were instantly brought back to the nostalgia of our own youth. Yet knowing that her work also centers on the children of Gaza deeply moved us. We felt the emotions she wanted to convey — the innocence of youth and the dream of a better future.
