(English Below) Hadeel Osman é uma artista multidisciplinar sudanesa baseada no Cairo, cujo trabalho conecta moda sustentável, gestão cultural e comunicação multimídia. With over 12 years of experience, her practice is guided by curiosity and continuous experimentation. Her work resists confinement to a single discipline. Instead, she moves fluidly between roles—sewing fabrics, painting with acrylics, experimenting with film photography, curating exhibitions, styling editorial shoots, and constructing props for productions. At the core of her practice is a commitment to community impact, addressing womanhood and cultural preservation while amplifying underrepresented narratives. Whether working independently or collaboratively, she creates projects that go beyond aesthetics, fostering dialogue and connection. For Hadeel Osman, art is the freedom to express the human experience across different media and realities, blending tradition and innovation to create cultural and social impact. Ready for “ Threads of resilience “ Once upon Time Cotton production and cultivation in ancient Sudan and Nubia dates back to the 1st century CE, indicating its economic significance. Cotton’s role evolved from a niche luxury for elites to a valuable cash crop in medieval Nubia. Therefore, people in ancient Sudan and Nubia used to spin, loom and weave cotton textiles. The activity is Cardboard Looming with Scarp fabrics (focusing on using cotton scraps mostly). The activity will include storytelling of the history of cotton, its relevance to our movements and human experience, and its necessity now in an age of plastic overload. It will be presented by DAVU Studio is a multidisciplinary creative consultancy, fusing visual communications with sustainable design and cultural management .. About the founder Hadeel Osman is a Sudanese creative director working across sustainable fashion, cultural management and multimedia. Briding industries, Hadeel emphasises ethical and locally rooted practices, and highlights cultural expression with contemporary aesthetics to deliver socially conscious, heritage grounded creations and initiatives for meaningful community impact.
