Thank you to Chefs Love LA for selecting me as a Community Hero on behalf of the LA Pizza Alliance. During a time where chaos seems inevitable, I was in absolute awe watching the community I love so much come together to defend Los Angeles from absolute devastation. Sometimes the people of LA get a bad rap, but January 2025 showed the entire world just how powerful this city can be when we all unite and distribute effective mutual aid and direct relief to those in need. I want to thank @bmrsfoodjobs @metzger_brad and the entire Chefs Love LA team for recognizing the mutual aid and distribution networks that were established by the LA Pizza Alliance in order to provide over 100 thousands slices of pizza to those directly impacted by the California Wildifres. I want to thank @thetommyb from @lasorteds for truly embodying what it means to be from LA and stepping up to defend our city in one of the most selfless acts I’ve ever seen. I want to thank all of the pizza shop owners, pop ups, food distributors, and organizations that donated their time and product to help those in need during a time in which many of us are facing economic hardships that are absolutely unprecedented. During a time where restaurants are closing at a shocking rate, everyone stepped up in an act of radical hospitality to protect our community and I will never forget that. I am in awe of this community and will never take it for granted, so thank you to everyone who has supported this page through all the trials and tribulations. I cannot wait to show you all what’s next.
