I’m honored and delighted that IN SEARCH OF LOST TIME will screen as part of #dvdanzahabana’s celebration of 2 decades of presentations. They’ve selected a work from 20 artists to match their 20 years, and I’m beyond proud that SEARCH is one of them. After consulting the archives, I see that DVDanza has shared my work in La Habana almost every year, beginning in 2006 with THE WELCOME TABLE. Muchísimas gracias Roxana de los Rios, Andres Abreu, David Hamilton Thomson, Charles Caster Dudzick and Aislinn MacMaster

The Rauschenberg Centennial Awards!!!
I first met Bob in 1987 when I joined the Trisha Brown Company. During those years, I witnessed his joy, vulnerabilities, generosity, and care.
I was gobsmacked to get the news! I am so grateful for the community that has supported me and allowed me to do the work. And what a stellar company to be part of: Senga Nengudi (Art), Chandra McCormick and Keith Calhoun (Photography), and Patricia Spears Jones (Writing)!!!
We don’t work alone; we’re an expansive village, an interconnected forest.
When a tree dies in a forest, it transforms into sustenance for the future. supporting diverse organisms and fueling new growth. The wood returns nutrients to the soil, while its fall creates light gaps for new seedlings and provides shelter for wildlife. Bob understood this, and the Foundation brilliantly wove these ideas into his legacy and their programs.
Thank you, Bob and the Rauschenberg Foundation, for this amazing honor!

Through practical tools for budgeting, income planning, taxes, and resource navigation, artists are invited to explore financial knowledge as a root system—one that supports longevity, mutual aid, and collective resilience. Together, we will share strategies for planting sustainable futures, strengthening networks of support, and understanding financial practices as acts of care within an interconnected artistic ecosystem.
