Real belonging is knowing a group of people will hold you no matter what. @davidspinks co-founded @cmxhub , helped define the community-building industry in Silicon Valley, and wrote the book Business of Belonging. In this conversation with Derek Andersen, David shares what true belonging actually feels like: knowing that a group of people will keep you in a relationship no matter what, with accountability, but without ever letting go. Ambition and well-being aren't opposites. Most high performers just never questioned that assumption. @davidspinks co-founded @cmxhub , helped define the community-building industry in Silicon Valley, and wrote the book Business of Belonging. In this episode, David breaks down why well-being has nothing to do with yoga or meditation apps. It's a genuine sense of enoughness and a healthy relationship with yourself. The woods gave me a beautiful bouquet to celebrate the end of this chapter. We decides to sunset Downshift this week. I took my weekly walk in the woods to process everything thats swirling around and stumbled onto some chicken of the woods for the first time. Is it a sign? Not sure. But its definitely a meal.

How much is enough? We fill our days, calendars, and tasks lists to the brim because we don't have a sense of what is "enough". Our society teaches us that the goal is "more". More success, more productivity, more money, and so we find ourselves pushing the boulder up the hill indefinitely. Answering the question, "What is enough", is the key to a balanced and bountiful life. Watch or listen to the full interview on the @bountifullpodcast here: /david-spinks/

✨ “You are already enough.” ✨ If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be? For David Spinks, it’s this:
“There’s nothing you need to do or accomplish in order to be enough. Mistakes are part of the journey—just keep going. That’s your path.”
 💭 Why this matters:
We often look back and wonder what we’d change, but as David shares in this week’s episode, every misstep and victory shapes who we are today. Instead of trying to fix the past, honour the lessons that brought you here. 🌟 This episode is a heartfelt reminder to embrace your story—flaws and all—and trust that where you are is exactly where you’re meant to be. 👇 Comment ‘Enough’ if you want to hear everything David has to share about being enough and belonging. #podcast #selfimprovement #selflove #personaldevelopment #positivemindset

“Belonging isn’t something you achieve; it’s something you discover within yourself and nurture in the communities around you.” 🌟 This week on the Bountifull Podcast, I sit down with David Spinks, community builder, coach, and author of The Business of Belonging, to explore the intricate interplay of community, belonging, and self-discovery. From his journey of building CMX, a global community of over 20,000 community management professionals, to stepping back and rediscovering his own “enoughness,” David shares his wisdom on why true belonging starts from within. If you’ve ever struggled with chasing external validation, wondered how to create meaningful connections, or felt the tension between ambition and alignment, this episode offers deeply personal insights and practical lessons for creating a more fulfilling life. Do you know what is enough for you? #Podcast #episode #joyful #connection #communitybuilding #belonging #Selflove

Second batch of pickles form the garden. This time I used apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. My first batch was a huge hit with the family. Excited for them to try this one.

If you were wondering who Holger Rune was arguing with in the crowd, it was me. I told him he had weak quads and he didn’t take very kindly to that. This of course was a lie. His quads were majestic.
