I am so excited to share that my project The Venetian has been shortlisted for the @granddesignsau House of the Year Awards for 2026! It is such an honour to be considered amongst such incredible projects and talent, and it feels extra special being 1 of only 2 apartment projects in the shortlist. The project is also up for the People’s Choice Award! It is up against some incredible competition but I would be so grateful if you could pop a vote my way; you might even win a prize out of it. “Before a recent renovation, this Kirribilli apartment was doing the most to ignore its stunning views of Sydney Harbour, which were, bizarrely, almost entirely concealed behind arched interior walls. Designer David Gan was brought in to rectify this major oversight, stripping the apartment back to its shell to highlight the spectacular outlook and create a more logical floor plan. The interiors now rival the beauty of its setting, and the original grandeur of the 1920s building.” Pinch me! The Venetian is now on @thedesignfiles . I am so grateful and honoured to have been invited to partake in a high-performance creative retreat at @potatoheadbali with some of Australia’s greatest and brightest - all thanks to @ausdesignreview and @adr30under30 ! It is not every day you get to be surrounded by such talented, driven and genuine people and I am so humbled to be amongst you all! The conversations, workshops and experiences have been so uplifting and I cannot wait to see what we all achieve. The Venetian, my first personal project, is now featured on The Local Project. This project was designed across state lines, through a masters degree, two major revisions and through COVID; and I am so proud of how it has come together. I could not have chosen a better home to debut this project to the world - thank you to the team @thelocalproject for all the support! Thanks to the amazing project team who brought the vision all together, specifically Pierre and Buddy @preparedprojects who were patient with my questions and learning.
