There’s a longer and more reflective post somewhere (which I deleted) about the story behind this photo, but it’s wrapped up in lots of blood and sweat (and possibly tears) and is probably for a pint in the pub one day. It’s proof though it is possible to work really, really hard and have a nice time with brilliant people being exceptional, and that all of those things can exist at once - even if sometimes it doesn’t seem at first like that’s something for one reason or another you’re allowed to have. (…And sometimes it pays to dig in and hold the line in the hope for an awesome day where it all ends up being worthwhile. 🫶)

Here’s the recap: The FlashMobile, putting your lives in the hands of a man named Pablo, Manchester > Buxton > Hull > Basingstoke > Colchester > Kentish Town > Coventry. The Censored Poet of Hull, the Peak District, All the Shops are closed, 3 Metres of Lino, More Haze Please, Ben The Menace, Do You Want to Feed The Ducks? A Dead Fish, Capability Brown, Coventry Cathedral, Going Down, A suspected Heart Attack, 2 Travelodges, 1 Ibis & 1 Premier Inn, a well loved Arsenal ball, 4 folding chairs, “eat now before you die”, “How big is this f*cking hill?” The tangent swear jar, Gregory Jordany, The world’s creepiest Wetherspoons, Lady Godiva, Thunderbirds Monolopy, Coventry Market and much, much more… So many Thank yous: 🎟️ Everyone who bought a ticket and took a chance on us. ⚡️All the venues and their tech teams for supporting us and being so lovely: @buxtonoperahouse @hulltruck @anvil_arts @mercurytheatrecolchester @landutheatre & @belgradetheatre .
