Applications open 18 May for a new mural commission at ASDA Hyson Green, part of Beyond the Walls with New Art Exchange and ASDA.
We’re inviting proposals from artists from the Global Ethnic Majority worldwide and artists based in Nottinghamshire, with a commission fee of up to £10,000.

Congratulations to Simeon Barclay, who has been nominated for the Turner Prize for ‘The Ruin’ (2025), a collaborative performance conceived by Simeon Barclay and commissioned and presented by the Roberts Institute of Art.
Initially presented at @icalondon , the performance saw Simeon joined on stage by percussionist James Larter and horn player Isaac Shieh. Together, they performed a work that brought together voice, melody, sound and rhythm to explore a mythic idea of Britain through Simeon’s personal lens.
From the open stretches of the M62 to the intimate living room-cum-atelier of Simeon’s father, ‘The Ruin’ reflects on the post-industrial landscape and society of northern England in the 1980s and 90s.
‘The Ruin’ later travelled to @hepworthwakefield and @new_art_exchange .
This year’s Turner Prize will be held from 26 September 2026 to 29 March 2027 at @mimauseful .
