About the exhibition
With his project Strata, Joern von Scheipers uncovers and archives hidden layers of the city. What begins as forgotten advertising—ripped, weathered, and hidden beneath new layers—is reimagined as archaeology of the city’s cultural pulse. Through intervention and material transformation, von Scheipers reveals fragile yet monumental objects: silent witnesses to time, memory, and hedonism.

Kiedy Gisa Golpira @gisagolpira i David Kosock @david___kosock przeprowadzili się z Düsseldorfu do Berlina, marzyli o nowym początku. Projektantka biżuterii i projektant z listy AD100 oraz założyciel Vaust Co początkowo wstrzymali się z aranżacją przestrzeni o powierzchni 190 metrów kwadratowych. Delektowali się pustką i zadawali sobie pytanie, jak mogłoby wyglądać mieszkanie, które zapewniłoby im tyle relaksu, co pobyt w doskonałym hotelu — oraz pomieściłoby showroom Gisy.
Bez pośpiechu stworzyli miejsce, którego oboje w zasadzie nie chcą opuszczać. Życie, jak wierzą Kosock i Golpira, nie jest stanem biernym, ale aktywnym. Rozmawialiśmy z parą o praktyczności, komforcie i rzeźbiarskich meblach — oraz o dwóch małych kamieniach, które znaczą więcej niż jakikolwiek mebel.
