Recently awarded in Germany and Romania, the young cellist Ștefan Cazacu has added two international distinctions to his palmares: first prize at the International Danube Festiva l - Donaufest (Ulm, Germany - 2022) and third prize at the International Competition George Enescu (Bucharest, Romania, 2020-2021 edition). Coming from a musical family, he has developed his own unique voice, blending tradition with a refined and expressive approach to the cello repertoire. His travelling companion – a collection cello. The instrument was produced over 100 years ago (in 1917), in Turin, Italy, by the string-instrument maker Georg Ullman. A passionate educator, he is dedicated to inspiring and guiding the next generation of musicians. n recitals or concerts - as a soloist or as a member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra - Ștefan Cazacu has been applauded on important European stages. Laureate of several international competitions, Ștefan Cazacu has performed as a soloist with important orchestras, such as the "George Enescu" Philharmonic and the National Radio Orchestra. Xavier Phillips began studying the cello at the age of 6. He won several international prizes, and his encounter with Mstislav Rostropovich was decisive since marked the beginning of a long collaboration. Xavier Phillips was soon invited to perform on the world's greatest stages with prestigious orchestras: New-York Philharmonic, Washington National Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Berliner Symphoniker, Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Seattle Symphony Orchestra etc. He has been conducted by such illustrious conductors as his mentor Mstislav Rostropovitch, as well as Riccardo Muti, Valery Gergiev, Christoph Eschenbach, James Conlon, Marek Janowski, Vladimir Fedosseyev, Ion Marin, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Vladimir Spivakov, Kurt Masur. He also reserves a special place for chamber music, which he enjoys sharing with artists such as Schlomo Mintz, Tedi Papavrami, Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian, François-Frédéric Guy, Cédric Tiberghien and Igor Tchetuev. He has been a guest at the Wigmore Hall, Arsenal de Metz, Théâtre du Mariinsky, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Philharmonie de Paris, Victoria Hall in Geneva, and renowned festivals such as the Kings Place Cello Festival in London, Printemps des Arts in Monte Carlo, and the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence. His many recordings have received critical acclaim, including Diapason d'or, Gramophone "Editors Choice" and The Strad "Recommends". His recording of Henri Dutilleux's Cello Concerto "Tout un monde lointain" with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra (dir. Ludovic Morlot) was nominated three times for the 2015 Grammy Awards, for which Xavier Phillips was nominated for "Best Instrumental Solo”. Xavier Phillips has held a professorship at Hemu Vaud-Valais-Wallis in Sion since 2013. The Washington Post has praised violist Juan-Miguel Hernandez as having “the sweetest, most sonorous tone”. Performances as soloist and chamber musician have seen Juan-Miguel Hernandez on some of the world’s leading halls, including Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Disney Hall (Los Angeles), Salzburg Mozarteum,’King’s Place (London), Hamburg Elbphilharmonie and The White House. As a chamber musician he has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Lynn Harrell, Ralph Kirshbaum, Kim Kashkashian, Gérard Caussé and Itzhak Perlman. Chamber music being at the forefront of his career, Juan-Miguel joined the legendary Fine Arts Quartet, from 2013 until 2018. His strong commitment to educate and engage new audiences all around the globe have brought him to reach young musicians and various communities through art convoys in South Africa and Venezuela, various music festivals in South America and educational projects in Europe and North America. Beyond his extensive classical repertoire, he has regularly performed with Jazz living legends Gary Burton, Stanley Clark, ’Rivera Paquito D’Rivera and Chick Corea. Sabina Silaghi was born in Cluj-Napoca in 2001 and began her violin studies in 2007. She graduated from the "Sigismund Toduţă" College of Music in Cluj-Napoca in 2020. Four years later she completed her Bachelor studies at the "Gheorghe Dima" Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca under the guidance of violonist and professor Nicuşor Silaghi. She is a multiple laureate of the National Music Olympiad, also participating in many other prestigious competitions from which she has brought home over twenty awards. She is currently a Master's student at the Hochschule für Musik Saar under the guidance of renowned violinist David Grimal. She has carried out a rich stage activity as an orchestra member, playing in esteemed concert halls such as Philarmonie de Paris, Elbphilarmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, Musikverein Vienna, Concertgebow Amsterdam or the Romanian Athenaeum. She is a member of the National Romanian Youth Orchestra and Les Dissonances. Valentin Șerban is the winner of the grand prize in the Violin final of the 2020/2021 George Enescu International Competition, with a performance of Sibelius Violin Concerto in D minor Op. 47 that brought the public to a standing ovation at the Romanian Athenaeum. Valentin Șerban previously graduated with bachelor’s studies at the Transilvania University in Brașov and attended his master’s studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, under the guidance of Silvia Marcovici. He has performed in Romania, France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. He has been a member of the Les Dissonances Orchestra in Paris since 2018 and a guest concertmaster of the Romanian Youth Orchestra. His performance of the complete piano works of Debussy (four recitals in a single day) received extremely enthusiastic press and media coverage. He has presented the cycle in London Wigmore Hall, Dublin, Paris, Lisbon, Sydney, Vancouver, Singapore and Tokyo. He also visits China, Australia, South America and Canada regulary. Phillippe appearead with such artists as Wolfgang Holzmair, Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Karine Deshayes, Donna Brown, Paul Meyer, Jörg Widmann, Matt Haimovitz, Isabelle Faust, the Ebene, Takacs, Vanbrugh, Danish, Chilingirian string quartets. In 2012, Philippe becomes soprano Natalie Dessay’s exclusive pianist.
