Day 2 at the Kane County Toy Show Hotel Sales is HERE… and after the absolute chaos of Day 1, we finally managed to get a little sleep before diving back into another full day of vintage toy hunting during Chicago Toy Show weekend.
This time, the entire crew is together—and things get WILD fast.
Before we even make it to the official Chicago Toy Show parking lot sales, our good friend Chris from Toy Creed surprises us with something brand new from his Monster Warriors toy line… and then completely blows our minds with an entire car packed full of insane custom toys, bootlegs, art toys, weird monster collectibles, and one-of-a-kind creations.
Between the custom monster toys, rare bootlegs, bizarre art pieces, and a personal grail for my collection, I’m already trying to figure out how I’m supposed to budget for the rest of the weekend—and the actual Kane County Toy Show hasn’t even started yet.
This Chicago Toy Show / Kane County Toy Show trip is already getting completely out of control with vintage toys, weird collectibles, 80s and 90s nostalgia, monster toys, and unexpected surprises around every corner.

After a 15-hour overnight drive with absolutely ZERO sleep, we headed straight into the madness of the legendary Chicago Toy Show hotel sales… and this was only DAY ONE.
Before the actual Chicago Toy Show even begins, the hotel transforms into a giant underground vintage toy hunt. Vendors turn their hotel rooms into full-blown toy stores, and we go door-to-door searching for rare vintage toys, monster toys, gross-out era collectibles, prototypes, and bizarre pieces we’ve NEVER seen before. This is only the beginning of the 2026 Chicago Toy Show Road Trip.
Over the four days, we’ll be diving deep into multiple rounds of hotel room sales, vintage toy stores across the Chicago area, Chicago Toy Show parking lot sales, vendor load-in day, and finally the massive Kane County / Chicago Toy Show itself. Running on no sleep, pure adrenaline, and terrible decision-making, things are already getting completely out of control. 😳
Expect insane vintage toy finds, rare prototypes, grail pieces, weird tie-ins, forgotten collectibles, and some of the wildest toys from the 80s and 90s. If you love vintage toy hunting, retro toy stores, monster toys, gross-out era collectibles, and the thrill of the hunt, this entire Chicago Toy Show series is going to be a wild ride.

This is the complete collection of my Chicago Toy Show (aka Kane County Toy Show) series from last year—my first time traveling from Connecticut to one of the biggest vintage toy shows in the country, and it turned into something I never could imagine.
Running on almost no sleep, the crew and I made the road trip chasing vintage toys, rare collectibles, and 80s & 90s nostalgia. From the legendary Kane County parking lot sales before sunrise, to the vendor load-in day, and finally the full show floor, this series captures the entire experience of toy hunting at one of the most talked-about toy shows in the hobby.
Across these episodes, you’ll see rare vintage toys, hard-to-find collectibles, and unexpected discoveries from the golden era of toys. From monster and gross-out era pieces to classic 80s and 90s toy lines, this trip delivered nonstop nostalgia. And in the middle of it all, I found a MASSIVE GRAIL piece for my collection—something I never expected to see in person.
