I know I've been MIA from my photography social media, and honestly, my photography in general for 8+ months now. It's insane to think that about time.
Honestly, I lost steam since I lost my Dad in November and immediately lost almost all motivation in my work.
There was already uncertainty on what 2025 might lead to with my photography because I already had a slow schedule on the books coming into 2025. I am a believer of everything happening for a reason.
I just couldn't imagine my Dad passing would be the reason. I needed a break.
A little over a year ago, my Dad retired after 55 years as a butcher. My Dad ran Orange Street Market in New Haven for 40+ years before selling the business and it becoming P&M Orange Street Market. My Dad continued to be the butcher there until his retirement in May 2024.
My Dad worked 55 years in the same building, in the same meat department. The building my grandfather started the business. Where my Dad took over. Where myself and my family worked growing up.
With today being Father's Day, I still don't know if I'm ready to share this, but here it goes.
I photographed my Dad in his final days of work. This is a small collection of images I captured.

I took photos of his daily routine. Cutting meat, making phone calls, interacting with staff and customers, and even making out an egg order.
It brought back so many memories from when I used to work there as a kid, and it was something really special. I don't know why it took me so long to do this, or the moment I decided to take these photos, but I'm so happy I did.
I was (and still am) extremely unsure about when I would release these images to the public. Maybe now is the time.
My Dad loved people. Especially the customers. That's a big reason he stayed when he sold the business. He's the most selfless person I've ever known.
There's so much to say about my Dad. I miss him so much every day. We did so much together and I'm extremely grateful for every minute of it. I have so many great stories and memories with him that I think about daily. He was and still is my very best friend.
I love you Dad. Happy Father's Day. ❤
⚡️Here's something exciting to start off 2025. @foundersdaymovie is now available on VHS (in limited quantity) from @lunchmeatvhs .
.
DVD's and Blu-Ray are extremely cool physical media, but it doesn't get more nostalgic to have a VHS copy of a movie I worked on and have the honor to supply the photography assets that helped create the poster & cover art as the on-set stills & gallery photographer on.
.
So cool. Go grab a copy. 🩸

I recently got together with Amy Hargreaves in NYC (July 2024) to do a collaboration shoot. We shot a few looks on film & digital. It's always such a pleasure and honor getting to create with Amy.
.
I've been extremely fortunate to have worked with Amy on 2 films prior, and the energy she brings is incredibly inspiring.
.
We shot these images in NYC. I wanted to bring out all the fun and positive energy Amy exudes. The choice of making them in black and white is to give them a classic NYC actor feel. Images that will stand the test of time - a freeze frame giving motion into Amy's real life character.
.
There's more images from this shoot in the works, including some film that's currently being processed. More of Amy's collection soon.⚡️

I recently made the trip to work with @oliviabarcelou on another shoot. Like our previous shoot day in 2023, we shot a few styles.
.
And because Olivia has her very own school bus, we decided to include it for some 1970's inspired photos.
.
I wanted to keep it authentic to the time period, so we shot with a medium format camera and color-graded with film tones and scratches.
.
This is the first of a series of images. I'm currently working on the full collection, which I'll release soon[ish]. ✌🏻😎

Good Morning & Happy Monday from the 6,000+ feet beast that is Mount Washington. ⛰️
.
Even though we were there a few weeks ago (on family vacation), I've decided it's time to start sharing some more personal work in addition to my portraits, weddings, etc.
.
This whole Instagram thing gets me in tunnel vision most of the time. I think I have to follow a formula in order to hit algorithms, gain clients, and have a good-looking and consistent "grid."
.
All photography makes me happy, and I want to be able to share all I shoot. All the locations I go to, all the people I meet, and share stories.
.
I used to be that way, and I'm not sure what was lost, but I'd really love to get back to that.
.
I hope you enjoy the ride and the photos. I hope you all have a great start to the week. I look forward to sharing the journey with you.
