Last weekend I ran 45 miles across the entire volcanic island of La Palma. I went kind of fast... ⚡️ But more importantly, I ran the entire way with joy and gratitude. A massive thank you to the people of the island and @transvulcania for the opportunity to race here. I’ve had a wonderful two weeks exploring—this place is truly unique. The landscape is so diverse, shifting from volcanoes and deep canyons to cloud forests and black sand beaches. The people are so welcoming, and the slow, relaxed pace of life is unmatched. The race itself went better than I could have ever imagined. I owe the Course Record to the perfect weather and the incredible competition that pushed me to keep the pace high and dig deep right to the finish line. 🏁 Finally, thank you to @craftsportswear for the support—especially @abelrecknold for the flawless crew work and @miguelrua for capturing this beautiful moment just after sunrise. 🌅 #transvulcania #lapalma #trailrunning #craftsportswear #ultramarathon courserecord

Between clouds and volcanoes, we moved as one. Through the silence, the effort, and the endless trails, something simply felt aligned. Some weekends stay in the legs — this one stays much deeper. Until next time, Transvulcania. 📸 @miguelrua

🤳 @simon.salle / @distancesplus #trailrunning #trail #transvulcania

I just spent a wonderful week exploring the island of La Palma and seeing the course for tomorrow’s Transvulcania Ultramarathon. The weather is looking good and my legs feel ready so I’m excited to give it a rip and hope to make it to the finish after a tough DNF last year. Such an honor to get invited to come race here. @transvulcania @craftsportswear 📸@miguelrua

I came to Gran Canaria for @craftsportswear Trail Team Camp to kick off my running year. Unfortunately, I got quite sick with the flu after our first team workout so I didn’t get to spend as much time with our incredible team or run as much as I hoped. Still honored to be on this beautiful island and lucky to be feeling better with a few days left of my post-camp training block. #grancanaria

I just finished up an interesting couple days in San Antonio for The Running Event with Craft. I learned a lot about the industry and met a ton of great people. So grateful to have the support of @craftsportswear even if it means being embarrassed by the giant poster of my CCC race finish from August. That finish in Chamonix was so special. I’d been battling through doubt and extreme discomfort for the last few hours mostly with few people out on trail cheering. Entering Chamonix there was suddenly a roaring crowd and immense relief to have persevered. Thanks to @miguelrua for capturing the moment.

I’m thrilled to have finished up my running season with a 2nd place finish at the @jfk50mile despite coming up short on my attempt to defend last year’s win. I could tell by mile two that I didn’t have the same pop as last year and that contrast was taxing. Last year the entire race I was in a flow state and it felt almost effortless. This year it was a battle both mentally and physically but I came back from a few low spots to dig as deep as I ever have to duel Stephen Kersh over the last 12 miles and finish strong for 2nd place. This second is just as satisfying as last year’s win because of that perseverance. Hats off to @hanstroyer who made it look fun and easy to run away from a world-class field and went solo the last 35 miles to a dominating win. It’s been a wonderful (but long) season and I’m looking forward to a quick break from structured tradining. Congratulations to all the runners this weekend and thanks to the race team and volunteers for having me back. @craftsportswear #ultraruning #jfk50
