#Flashback August 8th, 2022. The moment when three of the @nyknicks ’ finest in @obitoppin_1 (now with the @pacers ) & All-Stars @juliusrandle30 & @jalenbrunson1 all pulled up to play in @procitynyc for Jersey-based @hoopsville . That was a great moment in modern times for NYC streetball action. The crowd was in a frenzy that night in the South Bronx. Despite their counterparts from The Bronx, @avelifeofficial , winning the game, the three pros left a lasting impression on many of the fans in attendance.

Originally released on our original page here on @instagram , we caught @kyrieirving in action at the first annual @morethanarun Community event, then at @keanuniversity ’s Harwood Arena in Union, New Jersey. This is the Kyrie that many of us in the community know him as. Chill, laid-back & full of life. To know him is to like him. Fast-forward to the present day, as he’s now playing for the @dallasmavs in the @nba Finals. He’s making noise with his @antasportsofficial sneakers & has been balling out all season long. It’s always great to see No. 11 in action on & off the court.

Since his days in the @nba with the @houstonrockets , @kennysmith has always given back to the youth, with his 🏀 camps at @uncchapelhill & also with the Aim High basketball program, which was started by his older brother, Vince Smith. The Queens-based Aim High was responsible for the emergence of many players over the years, including NYC high school legend & retired @nba player @chibbs_1 , @uconnmbb associate head coach @coachkimaniyoung , @stjohnsbball assistant coach @taliekbrown , talent evaluator @international.erv & many more when they were youths. Today, when he's not on telecasts for @nbaontnt , Smith is giving back with his current 🏀 program, @thejetacademy , which also is a part of the @nikeeyb on the 15's & 16's divisions, respectively. The @jetacademyeybl squad has plenty of promising players, including Smith's younger son, @malloytheboy & @faq2026 , who is currently playing for the Puerto Rican national team in the U18 @americup tournament in Argentina. S/O to The Jet on his philanthropy! The kid from the Lefrak City section of Queens has done good.

#lostfiles April 9th, 2026. Throughout the past couple of seasons, @showout.chris has been a hidden gem in the @chsaanyc_ . He hasn’t had the fan fare that many of his counterparts get, but when he steps on the court, he gets the job done. This past season, as a senior, he put on a good performance at @xaverianbasketball in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, as he averaged 18.7 points per game for the Clippers, whom he helped lead to a 13-13 record & an appearance in the second round of the @chsaanyc_ “AA” playoffs. For his efforts, he was a second-team @chsaanyc_ “AA” All-League selection & named a sixth-team All-State selection by the @nysswa . Last month, at the Nate Blue Showcase, he showed his jumper and had a great offensive game worth watching. College coaches, be on the lookout for this gem. 💎

This season, the terrific trio of guards at @theacademybx that held their own in the @nycpsal . @d3nimm_ , @aceboogie.1 & @ryanballinn , all of whom are seniors all held their own for the Eagles, who went 27-5, won their fifth consecutive @nycpsal Bronx Borough championship & their first @nycpsal city championship since 2007, and the first championship in the highest classification. The Eagles went on to finish at No. 2 in the @nysswa state rankings. For their efforts, @aceboogie.1 , who averaged 14.6 points per game, was named a first team All-State selection by the @nysswa , and @d3nimm_ , who averaged 16.6 points per game, was a second-team All-State selection. @ryanballinn , who averaged 12.2 points per game after transferring from St. John’s Prep, where he won a CHSAA “A” city championship last season, was named a @nysswa All-State Honorable Mention selection. At the Nate Blue Showcase last month, the trio all showcased their talents and proved that they can potentially make an impact for a college program. At the present time, all three are currently unsigned. Look out for them in the coming summer months, as they will be playing both AAU & also playing in plenty of the city’s finest streetball teams.

#lostfiles April 9th, 2026. One of the city’s most underrated players that many don’t know about is none other than @tyyboogiee__ . A junior out of @afbrooklynhigh in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, he held his own throughout the last couple of seasons and made a name for himself. This season, he made plenty of noise, as he averaged 18.6 points for @afbhshoops & led them to their second consecutive @nycpsal AAA championship & the Undisputed Championship, avenging last year’s loss to the CHSAA “A” champions, St. John’s Prep. For his efforts, he won the @nysswa Player of the Year award for the “AA” classification. At the present time, he is without an AAU program, but you can catch him on the NYC summer league 🏀 scene, as he will be playing in various tournaments.

One of the crown jewels of the class of 2028, Devin Bey (@born2ball_nyc ) is a true gem on the court, as he is good scorer and makes an impact whenever he strode on the floor. He is a second-generation hooper, as he is the son of Ja-Ja Bey, who helped lead Forest Hills High School to the @nycpsal “A” championship game in 1998 & also played collegiate basketball at LIU Brooklyn. This season, the younger Bey was a force at @holycrosshoops , as he was the second-leading scorer at 11 points per game & helped lead the Knights with a 14-15 overall record and an appearance in the @chsaanyc_ Brooklyn/Queens Diocesan championship game & an appearance in the @chsaanyc_ “AA” semifinals. Look out for him this season on the @3ssbcircuit this spring & summer with @newheightsnyc .

#lostfiles April 9th, 2026. This season, one of the players that have stepped up their game and put the city on notice is @iam.princeakeem , who is one of the city’s best guards in the class of 2028. His play is superb, as he is a solid floor leader and a good on-the-ball defender. He is also known for his shooting prowess every time he steps on the court. This past season as a sophomore, he was the second-leading scorer for @scanlanmbb with 12.3 points per game, as he helped lead the Crusaders to a 14-15 overall record and a berth in the @chsaanyc_ “AA” semifinals. Look out for him this spring & summer on the @3ssbcircuit with the @wizkidsaau .

#lostfiles April 9th, 2026. After transferring from Mount Vernon High School before the season, junior guard @tboncourt was on a mission when he got to @brandeiscampus.sports . As a guard with a phenomenal skill set and a nice jumper, he was lights out this season, as he averaged 12.9 points per game for the Bulldogs this past season & helped lead them to the @nycpsal Manhattan Borough championship & an appearance in the @nycpsal AAAA quarterfinals & an overall record of 19-7. Look out for him this spring & summer in various tournaments throughout the city.

#lostfiles April 9th, 2026. One of the best players in the class of 2027 out of New York City, @kellygriffinjr_ , is one of the best up & coming hoopers in the boroughs. He’s a scorer that can dominate in many ways, putting the ball on the floor, shooting and also through his athleticism. This past season at @molloyhs in Briarwood, Queens, he averaged 15.7 points per game & was a second-team @chsaanyc_ “AA” All-League selection, as well as a 13th team @nysswa All-State selection. College coaches, look out for him on the @3SSBCircuit with the @wizkidsaau 17’s this spring & summer.
