Dave Gardner is a space holder of meditation and movement, founder of Original Condition, and blends poetry and music through his band Innisfree.
In his PIP Talk, Life, My Partner, @davefrederickgardner explores how we relate to ourselves, our partners, our communities, and the wider web of life we are part of. Recently married to his life partner Eve, he’ll share reflections on belonging, choice, monogamy, sexuality, sensibility, and what it means to consciously orient ourselves within relationship. Dave explores relationships as orientation to life, and how the way we understand ourselves, our connections, and our choices shape the way we relate in love, partnership, community, and life itself.

A rather raw unedited clip from last weeks poetry evening in Noordhoek 🌳 I wrote this poem in the early hours of a morning after @eve.wildflower and I crafted our vows at Poplar Grove this time last year - a humbling process that brought me back to the earth where I could feel my feet again 🫀
I’ll be a part of the next gathering happening on Tuesday 26 May, where I’ll be offering a talk on relationship ♾️ there will be two other talkers as well as panel conversation 🤲🏼 this last event was really wholesome, and we look forward to the next one! I was first introduced to the music of @aquarianrenegade by @imogenlclarke in December 2023. What followed was an absurd series of synchronicities that I still have a hard time believing. The story would take too long to tell here, but just one month later, Andy, Eve & I met for the first time in the depths of the Tsitsikamma forest. After what felt like a destined day, I shared some of my music with Andy. He reported back to me saying I sounded somewhat like a South African Eden Ahbez. I did not know who this was and Andy then shared one of his favourite tracks by Eden, ‘Full Moon’. I listened to it a couple hundred times and made a wild remark that maybe we should try and cover it one day.
Well, that day happened.
And now, we share a little snippet from the depths of our marrow, this humble attempt at a song that should never really be covered, but we did it anyway.

On a Wednesday evening in August 2025, @evanjoseph11 , @andrewvandiemen and @davefrederickgardner shared an improvised performance of a dance that had been developing over a few years.
Following on from the process of @matthewrosmarin ’s emergent short film ‘Where I End, We Begin’, we pursued the impulse to film the performance.
‘Men’ is the first in a series of themes that have presented themselves as fields for us to explore.
