I released "Jagoff Uprising" (the first release on Thac0 Records) 20 years ago today. It was a boxset consisting of 2x 12" records (with tracks from artists with sites on rhinoplex.org at the time) and 2x CDr's with mixes from Cutups and C64. The screenshot showing the date is from the original Thac0 Records website which was an horrendous eyesore.
Thanks to Geoff, Ryan, and Greg for helping me screenprint and assemble all 300 boxes, Nick for letterpressing the information on the back of each box, and all of the artists and musicians who contributed art and music to it.
For a handful of reasons, "Jagoff Uprising" is not available on Bandcamp, but the tracks are not hard to find on the internet. All of the other Thac0 releases are on Bandcamp, though (link in bio).
"Snapped Bones" is my latest record on Unmapped North. It's 6 tracks of abstract/experimental hardcore available as a digital release and 10" lathe cut record. Link to the Unmapped North Bandcamp is in bio.
"Phantom Touch" from Disheveled is now available from Thac0 Records in both 12" purple vinyl and digital formats. The 12" record is limited to 100 copies and comes with a download code for the digital version. The cover artwork is from Atom Cyber. Mastering was performed by Shawn Hatfield of AudibleOddities.
A few words from Disheveled about this album:
"Starting in 2020 and lasting through 2023, I began using Virtual Reality as a means to help overcome my personal struggles with Sexual Identity, Gender Dysphoria, CPTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. I spent countless hours in VRChat, establishing a safe space in which I could comfortably communicate with new people, alleviate my chronic loneliness, and navigate through my anxieties and emotions. This album is a curation of Modular Synth based performances, inspired by my life altering experiences during that period."

Snippet of my submission to this year's Art All Night. Video was generated with @lzxindustries and @bpmc_glitch modules and an Opti-glitch from @tachyonsplus Audio and video synths shared a common, slow gate sequence for these recordings.
"Thee Path Within" from Pansophia is now available from Thac0 Records. Nemeton has penned a stellar review of this record in the latest issue of Datacide Magazine:
"Pansophia is another manifestation of Dimentia's creative musical and occult presence. This 10" is an epic twenty minute track titled 'Thee Path Within' spread over sides A and B. Recorded over several years between 2019 and 2022, Pansophia explores esoteric ideas and the possibilities of manifestation communicated musically through a melding of advanced electronic production on various synths including the Virus Ti2 and skilled evocation of traditional musical instruments such as the Harmonium, Guzheng, and the Hulusi. This beautifully crafted sonic journey twists and turns through dark descents and illuminating exaltations creating a profound offering of shared experience."
This release is available in both 10" grey vinyl and digital formats. The 10" record is limited to 100 copies and comes with a download code for the digital version. The cover artwork is from Darkam, mastering was performed by Black Monolith Studios. Link in bio.

Working on new video for the upcoming BxC/Cleaner Tapes collaboration show in October. This patch ended up being all @lzxindustries video modules and an Intellijel VCO.
new release, a bit of a change of pace. while working from home during the pandemic, i routinely had 1 or more synthesizers sitting beside me on my desk. i'd fiddle with a noise or ambient patch and let it drone on for the afternoon. every once in a while, i'd stumble upon something that i liked and then record a few minutes of it.
"Unsettling Predictions from Garbled Closed Captions" is a collection of 10 of those recordings arranged into 2 compositions. it is available from Unmapped North both digitally as well as on a limited edition tape. link to the Unmapped North Bandcamp page is in bio.
Over the fall, i spent some time with an oscilloscope and multimeter trying to figure out how the 10-pin ribbon cable used by the Leibniz Binary Subsystem from @xaocdevices shares data between modules. i pieced enough of it together to start processing this data by connecting pins from the ribbon cable to analog inputs on an @arduino.cc Mega 2560 (Rev3). From there, i made a device that reads the 8 bits and clock signal from Leibniz and generates 3 different gates (updates to gate states are synced to the received clock).
The topmost gate is high when more of the Leibniz bits are active and low when more of the bits are inactive. The middle gate performs the same logic, but only for the 4 most significant bits. The bottom gate does the same but for the 4 least significant bits. i added a switch to choose how to resolve ties: when the switch is up, the most significant bit is used to resolve all ties. When down, signal from an input jack is read. Any positive voltage on this jack is considered an active bit in tie resolution. There are LED's to show the state of each gate as well as the input jack. The top 8 LED's on the device illustrate the Leibniz data being read.
In the patch in this video, all gates are being triggered by Drezno, Jena, Erfurt, and Moskwa modules except for the kick and snare: those are being triggered by the middle and bottom gates on the device i made. A gate from Erfurt is being used as the tiebreaker input signal.
There are a few things i still want to add. First off, i want to Eurorack-ify it and use bus power instead of an external AC adapter. Secondly, i want to add different processing algorithms. Same hardware, but add a button to cycle through the programs. Lastly, i want to add an additional 10-pin connector to send binary data along to downstream Leibniz modules.
more new music, this time i'm back to flying solo. "Botched Chronomancy" is my latest release on Unmapped North. it's 6 tracks of experimental hardcore available as a digital release as well as a 10" lathe cut record. link to the Unmapped North Bandcamp site in bio.
Nick Breinich and i have been performing as Gnarled Horse Throat for the last decade or so (historical records are murky). "A Futile Stream of Commands" on Darkfloor Sound is our first release. It features 6 tracks that we recorded between 2018-2019. In addition, there are remixes by Luke Lund and Mick Harris (Scorn, Fret, formerly of Napalm Death and Painkiller) alongside remixes by Nick and i.
The digital version is available now on Bandcamp and the Darkfloor Sound site. Pre-orders are open for the tape release due later this year.
