UNT broke ground on the new Science & Technology building at the main campus in Denton, TX. We were delighted to join in the celebrations and munch on some “Atomic Cookies”.
This new 105,000 GSF building will feature flexible wet & dry open laboratories for interdisciplinary research, a vivarium, clinic spaces, meeting rooms & other work areas. Architect: SmithGroup. Contractor: Skanska.
The Datum crew got together to support The Trail Conservancy at the 2024 Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run. The Trail Conservancy’s mission is to protect, enhance, and connect the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail for the benefit of all.

Datum Grows into Chicago!
Here at Datum Engineers we’re expanding by opening a Chicago regional office. Until now, our offices have all been in Texas, but we’ve worked on projects across the entire U.S. and it’s time to grow some more.
Heading our Chicago operations is industry veteran Jim Pawlikowski, SE, LEED AP. We’re very excited to bring him into the Datum family. Jim has a distinguished engineering track record, including over 24 years with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill where he became the co-Director of the firm’s Chicago structural practice. He is well known for his work throughout the world on massive structures such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the International Treaty Organization Headquarters (NATO) in Brussels, Hamilton House in London and Millennium Park in Chicago.
Datum Dallas participated in Gingertown Dallas recently. The event, held at NorthPark, is one of the biggest gingerbread house exhibits in North Texas, with proceeds benefiting Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA). Nationally and internationally, CCA addresses the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional, and educational concerns relating to craniofacial conditions.
Originally founded in 2006 by David M. Schwarz Architects, this unique holiday display showcases talent from local design, architecture, engineering, and construction firms to help spread joy and hope during the holidays.
