At the beginning of 2022 I embarked on an 18-month documentary project with
@akimizutani_99 &
@masashi_nozaki to film
@yoshi_ishii_ on his journey creating a restaurant from the ground up.
We followed Yoshinori as he searched tirelessly to source ingredients from some of the best farmers & fisherman in Japan, spanning everywhere from Hokkaido to Kyushu.
This was by far the longest, hardest and most rewarding film project I've been a part of, and I'm immensely proud of the work this small team put in. I'm incredibly grateful to Aki and Masashi for giving me such a fulfilling opportunity.
