Education unlocks a world of possibilities.
Not just careers, not just certificates but confidence, choice, and the power to imagine a different future.
When a child has access to education, they gain more than knowledge. They gain the ability to question, to create, to lead, and to decide their own path. Education shapes how we see the world and how we show up in it. It determines whether dreams feel distant or achievable.
Yet for millions of children, especially girls and those in underserved communities, access to education is still a privilege instead of a right. And every barrier - cost, distance, culture, conflict — is a door closed on potential.
If we truly believe in development, equity, and progress, then education must be accessible, inclusive, and protected. Because when we invest in education, we are not just teaching lessons ,we are unlocking futures.
Education unlocks a world of possibilities.
Every child deserves the chance to access them.

Every child carries a future within them.
Sometimes, that future looks small, a uniform, a backpack, a dream not yet formed.
Education helps that future grow.
From curiosity to confidence.
From imagination to skill.
From a child with potential to an adult with purpose.
It builds confidence.
It creates opportunities.
It gives children the power to choose who they become.
Protect education. Protect their future

Married girls and young mothers have a right to education too. 📚 In just one month across Abuja and Nasarawa State, the REED initiative is proving that real, measurable change is possible. #ReclaimingEducation #REED #girlseducation
For too long, decisions shaping Nigeria's education system have been made in the dark by policymakers chasing outdated reports and researchers reconciling conflicting figures.
That is changing.

Malala Yousafzai once said that one child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world.
As leaders, educators, and changemakers, we carry the responsibility to ensure that every child has access to quality education.

Nigeria's Child Rights Act was signed into law in 2003 yet more than two decades later, the fight for its full adoption is still ongoing.
The CRA was designed to protect every Nigerian child from abuse, child marriage, trafficking, forced labour, and denial of education. But because Nigeria's federal structure requires each state to independently domesticate the law, millions of children remain without its protection.
As of early 2026, Gombe State remained the last holdout, having not fully assented to the Act.
Children in non-compliant states remain subject to practices like early marriage, female genital mutilation, and begging practices the CRA explicitly prohibits.
Progress has been made. But the lessons from these campaigns are clear: legal advocacy without funding, without community trust, and without public accountability will not be enough.

We don’t talk enough about how fragile access to education can be for some girls.
It’s not always a big, obvious moment that takes a girl out of school.
Sometimes it’s slow, school fees that can’t be paid, responsibilities that keep increasing, expectations that quietly shift her path.
And before long, education becomes something she used to have, not something she’s still part of.
The problem isn’t a lack of potential.
It’s the number of barriers placed in the way.
When girls are supported to stay in school, it changes more than just their academic journey.
It delays early marriage, improves health outcomes, increases future income, and strengthens entire communities.
But none of that happens by chance.
It happens when systems are intentional about keeping girls in school not just enrolling them, but supporting them all the way through.
That’s the conversation we need to keep having.

Every percentage point is a child left behind.
Due to poverty, rural isolation, and overstretched infrastructure, children in south-west Nigeria are left behind.
See the numbers. Take action. 👉

Not all regions carry the same burden.
In North-Central Nigeria, access to education is shaped by everything from urban advantage to conflict, displacement, and rural realities.
While Abuja shows what’s possible with investment, states like Niger and Nasarawa remind us how far we still have to go.
Every percentage here represents real children, real stories, and missed opportunities.
We can’t look away
we must act.

Last week, The REED Project expanded to Sabon Gari Community, Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
But in that same room, we also witnessed commitment. Stakeholders signed commitment forms. Communities proposed solutions. And before we left, scholarships were awarded to girls who deserved a second chance.
We sat with 13 stakeholders, religious leaders, chiefs, parents, and had an honest conversation about the girls in their community who have been left behind.
We believe when leaders speak, communities listen.
And when leaders act, things change.
The Stakeholders signed commitment forms. 📋
They committed to stand for the education of married girls and young mothers in Keffi.

The numbers are hard to ignore.
In Northern Nigeria, millions of children are still out of school not because they don’t want to learn, but because access, safety, and opportunity remain out of reach.
From Kebbi to Kaduna, each percentage tells a deeper story of resilience, and the urgent need for action.
Education shouldn’t depend on where a child is born. It’s time to turn data into decisions and ensure every child in Nigeria has a fair chance to learn.

The Southeast is setting the pace.
Lower out-of-school rates, stronger systems, and proof that progress is possible when education is taken seriously.
This is what progress looks like.
Now imagine what Nigeria could achieve if every region matched this pace.
