The Darling River Run is an iconic touring route through Outback NSW, following the Darling River and its connected waterways through classic river country.
Linking floodplains, red gum forests, pastoral stations and bush communities, the route includes a mix of sealed and unsealed roads.
Most sections are suitable for regular vehicles in dry conditions, though rain can sometimes lead to closures, so always check local road reports before travelling.
We know rain can sometimes change your plans, but that’s all part of travelling outback roads. The reward is the journey itself, quiet roads, wide open landscapes, river bends like this, and the chance to experience a side of NSW many never see.
Take your time and #EmbraceTheAdventure as the Baaka leads you through the outback.

Fill this space… It doesn’t take much out here.
🎣 An empty chair by the water, a couple of lines in, and time slowing right down. This is the kind of moment you’ll find #outontherun at Copi Hollow Caravan Park, where the days are easy and the fishing stories come naturally.
Set along the banks of Menindee Lakes, it’s the perfect spot to pull up, cast a line, and settle into that outback rhythm. No rush, no noise - just you, the lakes, and a good excuse to stay a while.
On the Darling River Run, this is what it’s all about… finding your own space, and filling it your way.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
🌺 Lest we forget.
