Diving to the USS Emmons in Okinawa, Japan
The USS Emmons is a WWII Destroyer that served at D-Day then deployed to the Pacific. It was later struck by 5 simultaneous kamikaze strikes April 1945 in the battle of Okinawa. The US were forced to sink it the following day. Today it remains a protected underwater war grave that honors 60 sailors who lost their lives.
Absolutely wild to dive a wreck like this. Much love to all the families of the sailors.
Depth - 36-45 meters. 118’-148’ approx.
Special thanks to Jan @piranha_divers_okinawa for taking us here and guiding us!
Hiroshima. A place that is hard to put into words, heartfelt, haunting and deeply moving. I will carry these moments forever with me.
Standing next to this building that was barely 160m from the hypocenter and seeing the ONLY tree that survived the blast is something I don’t really even know how to describe.
This is 40? Wild. Thank you to everyone who has wished me a happy birthday today. It really means a lot to me! I seriously love you all. You’re all fantastic and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. It’s truly an honor.
As I reflect back on to the last 40 years, I think about all the people I’ve met, places I’ve seen, things I’ve experienced and it’s truly wild to me how fast time has passed. I feel like I’ve accomplished so much and sometimes not much at all? I don’t mean that in a bad way whatsoever.
I feel like I’m just getting started. Here’s to the next 40 and beyond! We all need more love, understanding and respect to everyone’s journey.
Thank you to my mom and dad for raising me, truly don’t know where I would be without you,my absolutely lovely wife @barbellsandbuttercream my best friend in the whole universe.
Much love from road ❤️❤️❤️
