Were you a teenager who's MySpace bio said "Music is life" ... or were you normal? Lol
We got to see an important band that really impacted our musical taste on Friday - @thefaint
In the early 2000s, we were living on opposite coasts listening to this band on repeat while sitting on MySpace/LiveJournal/Melodramatic/AIM in our parents houses on chunky DESKTOP computers by day, and blasting it in our cars as we commuted to the big city (NY/LA) to go out dancing, by night.
So much has changed, but The Faint still makes my jaded heart happy.
Loved that Hospital was dedicated to skateboarders lol (I'll add all skaters 🛼)
Despite have the most danceable beats, they also have clever, meaningful lyrics. The new song “Time to Panic” couldn’t be more apropos, especially since James was yapping the whole drive to the show about AI taking over the world in the next two years haha (but really NOT haha at all.)
The world feels so heavy and dark lately. It took a lot of effort to just get us out of the house. But once we were there, we couldn't help but dance all night... even if it's time to panic.
